Ranking? 15? 10?

Right, but not this early. It matters being unranked vs ranked, but being 15 vs 10 doesn't matter at all at this point in the season. Of course every game matters, that's why this sport is superior to basketball.

I’m trying to follow here. Every game matters, but ranking doesn’t? It’s a 4 team playoff… one loss means we won’t make it to the sec championship and therefore not the playoffs. So we need to win now and hope GA loses between now and then. That’s how this works.

Right. None of what you said has to do with an AP ranking. Hell, the real rankings don't even come out for a few weeks. Win every game, and the ranking will shape up by late season. Don't win every game and the ranking will matter a lot as far as whether we go to the gator bowl or the music city bowl. At this point in the season, we are 2-0 with every outcome still possible. The number a bunch of loser sportswriters put beside our name doesn't mean much.

But frankly, we play better when we are disrespected, so I hope we drop.

Well I was wrong

I'm glad we're at #9 because it give us a shot at getting in the playoffs, but I really do think this team is tough to beat when it's been disrespected. It's hard to be disrespected in the top 10, so we're going to need to find other motivation.

We will roll into Oxford in a few weeks as an underdog…that’s motivation.
