Not that MB had thoughts of releasing Stoops....but if they lose, there'd certainly be more heat on Barnhart to get rid of Stoops

Stoops has entered the Cal zone, most fans want him gone but it isn't going to happen yet(unless he takes another job)

Stoops is safe primarily due to buyout. Even if the buyout wasn’t an issue he’d most likely be fine because a majority of brass, boosters, and fans are tickled shitless with .500 ball and Stoops Bourbon Bowls.

All the “well young grasshoppers you weren’t here through the…” types.

They’d just as soon error on the side of law of averages. CMS’ tenure is 6 wins and a bowl so maybe 7 wins. As opposed to risk change.

The conundrum isn’t a single QB or game or even single season.

It’s the known vs unknown…status quo vs change.

I think Stoops is safe too, but this game may have a bearing on fan enthusiasm for next season. I think it's an important game because of that.

I think 2025 fan enthusiasm ....assuming Stoops is back....is pretty much gone even if Boley beat UL and looks good in the process.

1. 7-5, 7-5 followed up with 5-7......will not be forgotten.
2. Most fans realize no matter if Boley is the QB we've needed....but the losses are incredible

- Walker, Ox, Rybka, Weaver, Hairston, Dumas Johnson, Deryck Jackson, Childress...on defense alone
- Key, maybe Barion, M COx, E Cox, then Brock and Demi.....granted offense has been terrible...but still losing some of those guys will be hard to replace
- Raynor as kicker

Even with some very talented kids and Boley...if he's legit for an entire game....along with portal kids....that ain't going to win back fans after this dreadful year. I see little fan enthusiasm for 2025

Yeah next year could go even worse for us. Things are not on a good trajectory at all and frankly I don't see Stoops having the energy or proper strategy to turn it around. If he did, we wouldn't be here in the first place.

UK has to win sec home games to go well again. Problem is next year you got Texas, UT, Florida and miss at home.

Swing games of sc, vandy, auburn on road. Assume road loss to uga.

UL on the road as well.

Its a given as long as Stoopids is here with how he recruits,, coaches and develops,, plus NIL will be bad next year.. At best they win 7,, more than likely about 5..
