Re the punt: That's old school SEC football, not saying it's right or wrong but it's how SEC football used to be played. Here's the thought: 3 minutes, you have all your TOs, ball at midfield, down one. Your defense has played very well all night, kick them deep, continue your D, use your TOs, force them to punt, get the ball back around midfield, maybe one TO left and 2 minutes, maybe slightly less on the clock. You're probably going to need 20 yards from your O, get that and kick a late, game winning FG. In the perfect world that's how it works. GA crossed that plan up by hitting a huge pass, give them credit. They aren't NCs and #1 for no reason. What if he throws an incompletion, what if the WR drops the pass, what if he throws an INT, what if he gets sacked, what if he gets sacked, fumbles and UK recovers? All of that COULD have happened but they made the play.
Do you realize UK has forced something like 6 straight fumbles but hasn't recovered any of them? Don't think I've ever seen that. Hell, law of averages is you get at least ONE of them!
As for the hate...think it comes from 2 places: Stoops makes more in a year than many here will make in their lifetime. People resent it but let's see them give it a whirl. Also, think gamblers are tanking too. People are foolishly losing their skrilla, must be somebody else's fault...try the coach.
