Is there anything - contractually or otherwise - preventing him from accepting the job now with a start date when the Bulls’ season ends? Everyone is saying there’s a timing problem, which I get, but I’m not quite sure why he couldn’t take the gig and start to put together a staff that could recruit until he officially takes over. But maybe I’m missing something (eg clause in his contract that precludes such a thing).
