I know I know social media is the worst spot to get info but there are some saying Purdue and Stoops are in talks. Any truth to it.

Where exactly did you see such a rumor? Because I have seen nothing about any names being considered for Purdue besides a few local media guys putting a list together that would be a good fit. Had Brian Brohm, WKUs coach and Stoops mentioned.
Nothing posted by any type of legitimate accounts on Twitter or anything else for that matter. Just wishful thinking by a bunch of defeated Kentucky fans
It’s just bogus accounts and/or fan speculation so far. Rick Bozich did float it too, but credited a follower with the idea. I’d love for ‘Stoops to Purdue’ to start trending though, might help get some pundits behind the idea.
Stoops plane supposedly left Lexington at 430pm. No one is tracking it, so just a rumor for now.
Maybe if Purdue shows real interest, we could kick in a negotiated portion of his payout.
Agree. I’m not all out on Stoops. I appreciate what he’s done here at a historically tough place to win. I can understand one more season to regain the all time winningest coach spot and go out on a better note(hopefully).
But the culture shift and decline is where I think it’s probably time for both side to move on. He’s lost the program and it would take a full culture rebuild…that’s easier to do as an incoming coach than as an incumbent.
Purdue is a good fit. Historically similar to UK. It’s just a little ways up the map so his family isn’t making a drastic cross country move. It’s in the heart of Stoops recruiting bed being mainly B10 country. 8 win season are a success there too and the conference slate is a little easier
