2) Pride. We want to see the coach hurt when we hurt. We want to see him taking games and titles
And results as personally as BBN does.
3) knowledge of and Concerned with historical records. Under cal we lost too many historical records like the 3pt streak, losing season streak, SECT gap, all time wins, etc. Respect of legacy is paramount.
4) Be willing to recruit and develop homegrown talent who grew up UK fans. While other folks may help us win games, the talented kid from Kentucky will help explain what this means (come at me bro)
5) personality of a UK coach. Rupp, Hall, Pitino, Tubby, and Cal all had one similar quality when they got all their titles—Hunger to win and talk ABSOLUTE SHIT when they did. The ability to appease fans and make us want to jump in the road for them. Rupps radio, Joes “dose outs”, Pitinos “buy tickets”, Tubbys “stare, Cals “Grudge”?
Those are all key to those titles and that’s the best qualities we can hope for in the next coach.
