* Massive win for the Cats who entered the game a 6.5 pt underdog. Missouri is a really good team, especially at home, this was really good resume and momentum win for the Cats.

* It was an ugly start for the Cats, but Missouri couldn't take advantage in the first 10 minutes, and thanks to a hot shooting Brea, Chandler starting to find his game, and Williams doing everything, the Cats found themselves up 9 at the half. Cats were +12 from the 3pt line at the half.

* Cats started well in the 2nd half, pushed the lead out to 16 ... and then stumbled a bit as Missouri made a run to get within 5, but the Cats found a way the final 4 minutes to get the win.

* Both teams ended up making 11 3's, Missouri made everything late. Cats +1 on the glass, although Missouri got a lot of 2nd chance points, +12 from the FT as Missouri fouled constantly at the end.

* Butler makes us a different team on both ends of the floor, has to stay out of foul trouble. Of recent, Williams has played great for what we ask him to do ... huge to our team. Oweh finished with 22, (8-10 from FT line) but forced some things on offense both early and late. His defense on Grill though, was really good. Carr was huge today with 16 and 12 ... he made big plays in big moments on both ends of the floor. Brea was big in the 1st half. Chandler appears to have separated himself from the other freshmen - good timing for that. Almonor was mostly invisible today, and it wasn't Garrison's day either.

* The key to the game for me was turnovers. The stat sheet attributes 10 to the Cats and 10 to Missouri. We had 2 or 3 inbounds plays in the 2nd half where we just threw it away, but in the halfcourt, we mostly got shots instead of throwing it away. Missouri thrives on turning TOs into points, and the Cats did a good job preventing that today.

* Up Next: Cats head to the SEC Tournament ... I think possibly as the 6-seed if Texas A&M beats LSU ... playing the late game on Thursday night against the winner of the 11 and 14 seed game ... and the 3-seed waits after that. It's tournament time ... have to step it up.
