I know the tweet itself doesn’t specify, but was listening to KSR and they credited Rowland with breaking news that Marrow is a current candidate for the Southern Miss. head coaching position. I’ll be watching this one with curiosity because I imagine Marrow leaving would give us quite the clue to Stoops’ plans going forward.

He can’t even spell. It embarrasses me for the program when he tweets.

It would hurt us on the recruiting trail, but hurt him long term professionally and Southern Miss as well on the field.

I don’t think he could run an operation. Good luck to him.

He doesn't strike me as a head coach. He's a relationship guy and a person who placates talent. If Stoops left I'd be cool but I would like to keep marrow for recruiting. He works hard for Kentucky and he's responsible for the most recruiting success we have ever had. Why would anyone want him to leave other than he is tethered to Stoops? Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater.

Interesting that UK can't win, according to the fans the coaches are dumber than the handle on a coal bucket....yet other schools are coming after assts in droves, at least four this go around. Yet TN or Bama or Ole Miss or LSU are seldom mentioned as losing assts.

Really doesn't have the traditional background one associates with a HC. I'm confident Sumrall would keep him and given that he recently married a local gal I think he'd want to stay.

Agree 100%. There were rumors that both Brad white and Vince had reservations about going to TAMU so that tells me they have a commitment to UK.

As others have said, as long as it isn't a ploy for yet another raise and/or facilitates a Stoops exit, I don't want him gone.

Marrow is a lot like Stoops in that they are great salesmen but terrible coaches. Marrow’ s TE group have done a whole lot of nothing for the most part since he’s been here. And Stoops’ shortcomings are well documented.

No argument from me. But we don't need Vince to be a good coach. he's here to reel in talent. Hell, he even hand delivered Jasper Johnson to Pope.

Him being the TE coach is akin to a company's top salesman getting a special parking spot.

Nobody coming in here to take Stoops job is going to want anybody from the old regime. As for Marrows recruiting it is consistently 12 to 14 ranked in SEC every year. I don't call that good recruiting if we ever want to be any kind of force in this conference

Old News: Per KSR..."KSR’s Matt Jones confirmed that Mark Stoops’ longtime righthand man was contacted by the school, but removed his name from consideration."
