Pope is too soft on refs

Others coaches get more calls because he doesn’t speak up and they do. This is like the third or fourth game in a row of this. I would have at least once T tonight.
Really strange Pope doesn't look at it as protecting his players. He is going to learn in the SEC on the road there are several refs that will join the home crowd because of either being rogue or being intimidated. When Pope played he had Pitino that would stand up to the refs. There was just too many tick tack fouls called on us that took our aggression away while GA was as physical and aggressive as they wanted to be without getting in foul trouble.

It was one of many flops. Number 5 for UGA was constantly throwing his arms and head back and falling to the floor. It was a freaking joke to see how much flopping they did that got fouls called.

The constantly coming out each game seemingly unprepared and unengaged the first half, lies directly on the coaching staff's shoulders. Mark does make great adjustments at the half, but we just saw again that you can't rely on being a "second half team" to go anywhere. The guys are not running the offense they did early in the season, it's become a bunch of Cal ball "iso" junk, and opponent's are willing to let Brea and Garrison play hot potato while the defense covers the other three guys who don't want to move without the ball. Right now it's the only chink I see in Mark's armor. If he can get these guys on the same page both halves of a game, the end result will be a lot better.
Kentucky shot what 24% from three, if we shoot like normal that would have been a UK win despite all the theatrics with the whistle.

Bad loss. No dawgs on this team. Have to get a combination of experienced players and players that can put the team on their back. Can't guess every game on who will show up.
Was thinking last nite that UK only has 2 dogs. Butler and Oweh. To win on the road you need more than that

We had the lead at the under 12 timeout 10:48 or something! Oweh BS second foul was the changing point in game! UK didn’t play well, physical, rebound(again), shoot well, but the officials controlled this game! Not called the same on each end… Watchwd the game and go de watch it n you’ll see one of the most inconsistent called games in a long time.
Pope needs to work on our physicality and boxing out/revounding, but at this point we might be who we are..
Pope needs more intensity on sidelines and maybe it’ll rub off on players🤷🤷
Officials are calling the games the same way that they did when Cal was here and we all know they hated Cal…

So let me get this straight, It's Pope's fault the refs suck. Really?
Acting like a complete fool the way Cal did towards the Refs. Really worked out well didn't it?
Fact is if you act like Cal did or if you act calm like Pope does towards the Refs. It will change nothing. They are going to call what they are going to call.
Most of them are corrupt. Some are just horrible. Very few are actually good.
People talk about SEC refs. Fact is it doesn't matter what conference it is. They are bad.
I watch other games. It's the same no matter the conference. Some games they call next to no fouls. Other games it's non stop and most calls favor the home team.

Point blank, too soft. His team is getting fkn robbed.
Agree 100%- he needs to get pissed, show some emotion and maybe the refs and his team will take notice and his team will get fired up- watched a lot of BYU games the last couple years and Pope is just not that way, almost emotionless

I'd add Oweh. The rest are soft as tissue paper.
I think most of the players take after their coach- Pope is emotionless, to me doesn't show fire- I would have gotten thrown out of the game last night based on the refs etc-we did play bad but please coach, get fired up and get your team to play with more fire

I don't know that the emotion mattered last night.

Mike White never had to say a word and we got called for tons of fouls.

The next angry, screaming Mormon I see will be the first.

I just don’t think Pope has it in him to go nuclear on refs. The last guy did it 40 straight game minutes and it never seemed to help.

Wouldn't think he is emotionless, he has the fire in him and he showed he was a leader by continuing to issue plays and keep going forward..we all knew this was going to happen, we all thought we would get a road win at Georgia and that makes it more painful, look at poor Tennessee, I still say even though it was a ATROCITY on the flopping and foul situation, we win if we hit at normal clip.
