What on earth are you talking about? You keep acting like you're transcribing an interview, but clearly there is no interview yet...

Agree completely. Love hearing him talk. Has such a confidence about him but not arrogant and just an engaging personality.
Coach Pope came on right after Scottie Scheffler. I thought he did a very good job with the interview. Positive, enthusiastic, no bad-mouthing CCC ... just looking at going forward to hang National Championship banners ! Couldn't have been much better, from my standpoint !

What you should have taken from that interview is that he's an un-hateable person. This will just chap the a$$es of rival fans because their "Kentucky hate" will be fueled by PURE jealousy going forward. They can't blame it on anything else.
That went exactly as well as a 2:30 SportsCenter interview could ever hope to go

Back in the day some of my buddies and I hung out with Pope a few times because he befriended our 6’6” friend and used to treat him like his mini-me. I can confirm the ultracool personality you see on TV is if anything toned down from what Mark is in real life. It’s no kind of act at all.

I liked how he answered the question about Cal. I think that was asked to try to get him to give a negative soundbite, but that won’t work on Positive Pope.
