I'm more surprised that Notre Dame is still ranked after last night.
Nobody realistically expected us to beat Georgia, especially under those circumstances. It's not a bad loss, even if it was embarrassing. We're still 5-1 with a loss to the best team in the country.
Comical how Louisville beat a team that should have 3 losses and rockets up 11 spots.
Louisville’s big rise is a testament to the regionalism of poll voters. That plus the envy/hatred of the SEC nationally are the reason that three loss SEC teams will not be given precedence over a two loss ACC team for the playoffs, even when expanded to 12 teams. The inability of Stoops to recruit a single quarterback who has been successful is almost beyond comprehension. The NIL system will not be kind to UK. the coal industry is gone and no well off supporters who can fund it each and every year.
I mean, except for UAB, where they likely were overlooking, no one has scored more than 2 TDs on them. They’re still Georgia. No excuse for us being undisciplined though.
I hope the team is embarrassed enough by this showing, their lack of discipline and sportsmanship, that they have a fire in their belly the rest of the way.

I agree with all of that. They should be embarrassed because they know and we know they are better than they showed yesterday.
Georgia had ED the first five games of their schedule. Unfortunately for us, they managed to get their Cialis Rx right before our game. Joy!

I'm kind of surprised we're still ranked. Happy, but surprised. That was a total beat down on national TV and felt we would drop out. Maybe Georgia is just finally who we all thought they would be before the season started. I was a bit afraid their close call at Auburn might get them jump started.

Exactly. A loss is a loss no matter margin just like a win is a win.
I would have liked a mote competitive loss but when UGA plays like that they are gonna beat a lot of teams left on schedule by 28 to 40.
Two years ago, Georgia beat 8th ranked Arkansas 37-0, at home.
Arkansas ended the season ranked 21st.
Like others have point out, solid teams and even GOOD teams sometimes get the snot stomped out of them by elite teams. Just look how many blowouts there have been in the playoff, undefeated or 1-loss teams can find themselves up against a buzz saw and just completely overwhelmed. We're not even remotely on Georgia's level but if we refocus and put in effort we can bounce back, finish >.500 in the SEC, and end the year ranked and in a good bowl game.
Can't have that kind of undisciplined play Saturday or Missouri will win. I think Stoops has the boys focused and ready.

Let’s get back on subject. Our football team sucks because mediocre fans, living mediocre lives, are happy with mediocre results, because they’re mediocre in real life as well. That’s the true issue here. Not my spelling or grammar.
IMO we don't deserve to be ranked in the top 25. It's not because we lost; it's how we lost. The biggest game of the year up to this point and we don't show up for the game. Stupid penalties. Poor passing on key downs. We looked like we should be in the MAC or OVC. But that's all behind us now. We have a chance to prove we're a much better team starting this Saturday. Missouri is a good team. Probably close to us. We are home and have a sell out crowd coming. Instead of hanging heads low, I hope our guys come out wanting to prove who they really are.

It is tough for someone my age, that has been a fan of UK football since the mid 1940s to comprehend the thoughts of someone like you. To call Kentucky fans mediocre is a disgrace to your degree, at least the one you claim to have from 1988. Our fans have been behind this team forever, have watched highs (not as high as some) and lows (lower than most) but always come back. The people that would criticize our fans and call them mediocre because we have not won a national championship lack the reality of a few things: 1. College football is a game and being a fan of a college team should not define you as a person. It seems to me your issue is that your personality defines you as a UK football fan and that makes you feel inferior to fans of the Alabamas and Georgias of the world; 2. Very few teams have regular national success. Since the four team playoff began, Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Clemson, and Notre Dame have pretty much dominated it as far as making it to the playoff. That does not make us weak compared to the rest of the country; 3. As a fan for over 70 years I don't need some smart ass piss ant tell me what it takes to be a fan that is not "mediocre." I don't need some smart ass drunk kid in the stands to yell at me for not standing up on third down. I've put in my time. I enjoy my University's football team. The University that I have two degrees from, that two of my kids have degrees from and 3 of my grandkids have degrees from. We get together as a family and watch and enjoy the games. We get pissed when we lose, and happy when we win, but would never be so arrogant to criticize another fan for not being a dick about us losing a game to the number 1 team in the country. Some people would be pissed if they were hung with a gold rope.
