Had this happen with a fawn! last year. The thing apparently entered the large storm drain at the bottom of the hill (200yards or so long) and didn't know how to turn around and kept going upward till it go the the large street drain. Mom kept yelling for hours from a safe distance till I figured out what was going on. Called police who called sewer district who removed the large quite heavy cover & got the thing out.
