The Methodist Church is crying in their beer today because USAID (because of Musk) stopped funding malaria "research" at the Africa University in Zimbabwe. Apparently USAID was giving them $1.2M. Now the interesting thing about this is that this University has a $100M endowment. You heard that right - a university in Zimbabwe (run by the Methodist Church) - has a $100M endowment. So the church is now saying people aren't getting a paycheck because USAID cut off funding. I guess touching the f'ing endowment is too hard.

About 5-10% of the people who are in Congress do it for the right reasons and are competent people in their own right. The rest are sociopathic grifters with minimal talent other than having zero moral compass who will lie, steal and cheat to gain wealth and power because outside of politics they would be just another deadbeat loser. Most good people do not want to have anything to do with politics.

You have to remember that most if not all of these people are selected to run. There’s no real grass roots candidates. Many of the dummies on the left like Waters and Hrono are selected because there easily controlled. On the right the Rinos try to get selected those that will play ball and go along with the grift. MAGA has made some inroads into this. With some luck, DOGE will expose some of the Rinos on the take and they can be primaried out next time around
