Sir not that far back and also in the states while I was in the Army at Fort Bragg, actually out in a town four Buddies and I had a trailer rented in Spring Lake. I only stayed with them part time as I was still living in the barracks but I footed some of the bills we agreed on.
We were at a local joint in about exactly the same situation. When I was "hunting" women, I stayed as far away from "Buddies" (Any Buddy,) as I could.
My Buddies did me nearly the same way but that guy caught me as I was walking to leave with a girl I had met. I convinced the guy, I was totally unaware, as I was unaware.
The next day my "Buddies" and I had a come to Jesus moment as that could have cost me my clearance.
I received multiple six packs, cigarettes, and a decent bottle of liquor.
They got too drunk but they did get away without paying They paid me though. I'd have hated to lose them but to this day I still am in regular touch with two of them. I am thankful...

These aren't the people that won WW2 or the Cold War... These are the sons of wealthy people who went to private school and then to Ivy league colleges and then plan on getting a cushy job when they leave government "service". We aren't sending our best either.

Having said that, his idea of an External Revenue Service to collect tariffs is STUPID.
Why not just retask the IRS to do it instead of chasing Americans?
Let's not create YET ANOTHER duplicative agency. Remember when Bush invented DHS? How'd that work out?

He needs to think smart. But he's not an ideologue. That said, go Trump.

I would assume this is a starting position for negotiations. He's telling foreign governments that have unfair trade deals with us he is going to tariff the hell out of them. Some have seemed to want to push the argument. By him saying this he is now pushing the ball back to them for them to decide if they want to fight us over a $800B trade deficit when it would obviously hurt them worse.....?
My parents spent 27k for a house in 1975. Those same houses sell for 400k now.
I spent 44k on my first house in 1991.
That same house sells for 250k now.
