Oh come on man, this is like a Levi level of response. There wasnt some major breakthrough of infectious disease from the time he gave that interview until like a month later when masks became the most important thing. Its not like we found out the particle size was drastically bigger than we initially thought so masks ended up being more effective than initially thought. Hell half the crap he talked about wasnt even scientific, it was about people not getting the properly sized masks and people constantly touching them and messing with them. Did the science in the last few months show missized masks and constantly touching your mask and face is actually a good thing?
Just say he was lying in this interview because they feared the public was going to buy up all of the supply for masks and they wanted to make sure people in hospitals have them. That is at least somewhat believable.
