The presidential election has always been a popularity contest. Policy is boring and Americans are stupid. You’re acting like this is somehow a new frontier. Reagan was an actor. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jesse Ventura were governors. Trump didn’t change anything, he capitalized on it. The reason Tucker wouldn’t have broad enough appeal is his affiliation with untrustworthy partisan media, not his celebrity. As you point out his celebrity would be a positive. Just not enough.

Completely wrong. It was intentionally developed as a direct opposite economic theory. Socialism and communism are degrees of Marxism, fascism is on the other end of the scale.
I think authoritarianism is a more useful label than Communism/Fascism

A despot is a despot is a despot. Queen Elizabeth I was a tyrant who tortured her enemies. As was her father. As was ... What does it matter what an absolute ruler's rationales were? Does being killed by a divine right monarch or a National Socialist or a Marxist Leninist matter?

Why worry about their alleged reasons? Their way or the highway is the reality.

Socialist was only in the name because they co-opted a previously existing group. And killed all the socialists. Read Hitler and the rest’s writing on any economic topic and you see for yourself. But here're his own words directly addressing your contention. From an interview with a Nazi-sympathizing American journalist in 1932:

"Why do you call yourself a National Socialist, since your party program is the very anthesis of that commonly accredited to Socialism?"

"Socialism is the science of dealing with the common weal [health or well-being]. Communism is not Socialism. Marxism is not Socialism. The Marxians have stolen the term and confused its meaning. I shall take Socialism away from the Socialists. Socialism is an ancient Aryan, Germanic institution. Our German ancestors held certain lands in common. They cultivated the idea of the common weal. Marxism has no right to disguise itself as socialism. Socialism, unlike Marxism, does not repudiate private property. Unlike Marxism, it involves no negation of personality and, unlike Marxism, it is patriotic. We might have called ourselves the Liberal Party. We chose to call ourselves the National Socialists. We are not internationalists. Our Socialism is national. We demand the fulfilment of the just claims of the productive classes by the State on the basis of race solidarity. To us, State and race are one…"
He makes the case. They aren’t internationalist. They are socialist. It is right there. In his words.

Ha ha ha. Wrong answer, Sam. I try like hell not to post GD tweets these days, but unavoidable at times.

Straight from the FCC Commissioner's mouth.

Damn it! WTF is going on here?
Musk says “Here, I can help for dirt cheap with Starlink, but the left’s personal vendetta against the guy won’t allow them to do that. That, combined with Kamala couldn’t organize an office potluck, much less manage a multi-billion dollar initiative. Trump and Musk would get that rolled out in no time for a fraction of the cost.

Because they might be realizing they can’t cheat enough to overcome him, and/or the RNC’s common sense efforts to ensure common sense security measures are taking place.
So the election will be legitimate? Since, as you say, they can't cheat enough to win. Will hold you to that.

Typical government delays and misfires. Nothing new. Same crap happened under Trump.

Or maybe because he did the things and should receive his just punishments. Cause and effect. But your explanation of the other side just being cartoonishly, illogically evil is definitely more plausible...
It is more plausible, because it's observable in real time.
Then again, perhaps you believe Soviet show trials were legit, and that trying to murder your political opposition is logical and benign. (shrug)

Yes, authoritarianism comes in many forms. Most of it throughout history was monarchical. Those are separate from economic systems and theories. People are killed for ideologies all the time. Look at religion. Just because Stalin and pals were aholes doesn't speak on the economic systems. Americans are dumb though and don't know anything, let alone any history or philosophy, so just lump everything together that they don't like as pejoratives. Commie, nazi, terrorist, tyrant. They've literally described Trump's court cases as evidence we have a banana republic because they have no idea what an actual banana republic was. It's just a phrase that means corrupt proceedings to them.

They outlawed unions and killed their members. Fascism is about giving power to the state, not the people. Like I said it was developed as a directly oppositional theory, they looked at Marxism and came to the very opposite conclusions:

“Our great heads of industry are not concerned with the accumulation of wealth and the good life, rather they are concerned with responsibility and power. They have acquired this right by natural selection: they are members of the higher race. But you would surround them with a council of incompetents, who have no notion of anything. No economic leader can accept that.”

This comes directly from one of Hitler's political debates with an actual socialist. He's directly refuting the input of the workers and saying bosses are divinely justified.

“Your socialism is Marxism pure and simple. You see, the great mass of workers only wants bread and circuses. Ideas are not accessible to them and we cannot hope to win them over. We attach ourselves to the fringe, the race of lords, which did not grow through a miserabilist doctrine and knows by the virtue of its own character that it is called to rule, and rule without weakness over the masses of beings.”

Fascism is a philosophical framework and justification for the traditionalist, conservative idea of nobility. It arose from Mussolini's tight association with the Italian nobility and was a natural fit for Germany. Its foundational documents describe it being created in opposition to "socialism, liberalism, and democracy". It's explicit.
“Our programs are definitely equal to our revolutionary ideas and they belong to what in democratic regime is called “left”; our institutions are a direct result of our programs and our ideal is the Labor State. In this case there can be no doubt: we are the working class in struggle for life and death, against capitalism. We are the revolutionaries in search of a new order. If this is so, to invoke help from the bourgeoisie by waving the red peril is an absurdity. The real scarecrow, the real danger, the threat against which we fight relentlessly, comes from the right. It is not at all in our interest to have the capitalist bourgeoisie as an ally against the threat of the red peril, even at best it would be an unfaithful ally, which is trying to make us serve its ends, as it has done more than once with some success. I will spare words as it is totally superfluous. In fact, it is harmful, because it makes us confuse the types of genuine revolutionaries of whatever hue, with the man of reaction who sometimes uses our very language.” Benito Mussolini Milan, 1945

I have a special treat tonight.

I've put together some trivia with Dion, sam, loxie, and night dreams.

Enjoy.

So how much is Mark Robinson going to lose by? I would guess Harris will now run ads in NC of Trump proudly endorsing Robinson quite often now until the election, no?
I dunno, he basically turned into a Democrat.

A mix of Ralph northam and every liberal.

So yeah, he should probably lose.

See how easy that is. So when you gonna call out a democrat?

Neither quote is real. Mussolini was caught and executed by communists in April of 1945, when this supposed quote is from. You got both from a single propaganda article that made them up. Giovanni Gentile's The Doctrine of Fascism in fact says the literal opposite multiple times: "fascism is antisocialist" "fascism is against socialism" "The fascist state"..."is also against every socialist form". Here it is in the native Italian.

He makes the case. They aren’t internationalist. They are socialist. It is right there. In his words.

That's right. It's the only substantive difference, namely, class socialism vs race socialism.

National Socialism is most definitely a form of socialism, in spite of the simplistic (deceptive) Marxist attestations otherwise.
It grew directly out of marxist socialism, as a reaction against it. You never would've had Fascism without having Marxism first.

Fascism, unlike Marxist socialism, was able to produce. They are both completely antithetical to, and wholly incompatible with, our foundational American values.

If you think otherwise, then you don't genuinely understand one or the other, probably both.

Communists trying to articulate the evils of fascism is like cat shit trying to smell better than dog shit.

Marxist interpretations of National Socialism are "useful" lies and revisionist. The problem Hitler had with Communists was not their Marxist Socialism, but that he thought Bolshevism was a part of Jewish world domination alongside capitalism and the banking system.

Cool cool. So even when a Republican embarrasses himself, his state, and his party, it's still somehow the other side's fault lol. As for myself, I'm just a poster on this board. Why do I need to "call out" random politicians? All I asked was how much does Robinson lose by and laughed at the fact that once again, Trump proudly endorsed an embarrassing candidate that is going to lose. He endorses nutcase losers every two years, like clockwork.

I'm gonna need a list of 51 top Intel officials to say it doesn't exist like they did with the Hunter Biden laptop.

Well if you believe the source in question, you can also go ahead and believe that Stephen Colbert and Alvin Bragg were hanged at gitmo, justice amy coney Barrett was arrested by JAG, the marines have taken over Springfield, and the ‘white hats’ defeated the UN in a battle at the border

I certainly hope it’s more legit than 2020. I’ll reserve judgement until Election Day. I certainly hope the measures the RNC are taking cleans things up. I know the Dems are doing everything in their power to muddy the waters. Fighting voter rolls being cleaned up, actually facilitating registering of illegals, mass mailings of ballots to everybody and their pets, dead or alive, legit or not, taking weeks to count votes while some states and other countries can get theirs counted in hours. Fighting voter ID requirements. Machines failing in Republican strongholds, Too much blatantly obvious schemes to muddy the waters that you know damn good and well are fishy but don’t want to admit.
