Please stop with the "Republican party line" nonsense, Chuck/Mime/et al......conservatives/libertarians on here are critical of the Republican Party about one *trillion* times more tha libs/"moderates" call out Democrats. True nationwide as well. You guys RARELY utter a negative word about D's.....also true nationwide.

Sure, we have REXSMOM1945 but she's the exception, not the rule.

Not really in this case. Blue knows as do many of us that Deee is pure partisen. In one post he will profess he is tired of the corruption in all politics then, in the next sentence blast the GOP and defend the left while singing the praises of Obama and his supporters.
I have to say it does amaze me the amount of concern so many poster have over what I think or what I post. Even more amazing is the paranoia on the part of a few like bigblueinsanity, thinking that I'm here to carry out some anti-Republican agenda.

Hey it's just a discussion board folks nothing more, nothing less. I say what happens to pop into my mind like most everyone else, and my opinion is no more or less important than the next person's. I doubt anyone on this board is ever going to have their mind changed over anything I post or vice verse but hopefully by typing what I think, and reading what others say, it might cause us to pause and think a little bit from time to time.

Yes I expressed frustration over the parties inability to work together in congress a view that most Americans share but that doesn't mean I can't blast the 47 morons in the Senate that sent that letter to Iran or the Chipmunk for hiding her email. If criticizing members of one, or both parties is a sin in your eyes, that I have news for you - everybody that posts here regularly is in trouble

Seriously some folks need to quit worrying so much, and stop throwing stones in a glass house.

I'm considering voting for Hillary. Could someone please list her accomplishments so that I may make an objective analysis?

A lot of words for not a lot of substance. Look, the point is, as I have said before, own what you are. There is nothing wrong with that. You toe the party line because you believe in their agenda. I may disagree with you most of the time but, it is never personal. I am a conservative and a Christian and have never hid that but, would vote across part lines if the right candidate came along. That candidate would however have to prove that they were willing to give a good deal to get my support. Obama has not. He has alienated at least half of this country and it started with "We won the election so, deal with it". Not a good way to earn respect across the Isle.

So would I in fact I did by voting for Bob Corker for Senate in 2012, so what's your problem?

The most important thing of me for me is WHO that person is. How they have lived their life, what they have achieved, what others think about them, how they come across when they speak and what their character is. That's much more important to me than what boxes they can checkoff on a laundry list of positions.

Like I said I'm undecided right now for 2016, and although I disagree with Bush on a lot of issues, to me he is much more appealling on the metrics I listed above then his likely Democrate opponent. There is a long way to go and like most I'll do a lot more listening and thinking.

Given the panacea-like criteria you laid out, Deeee, how exactly did you come to your vote in '08, let alone in '12? And please don't answer with who the R candidate was and their faults, could easily find a lesser third party candidate, write in, or not vote at all in those races.

Nice job of cherry picking. Nothing Deee says will convince me he voted for a Republican for president. I stand by that statement in its full context.

sorry Dee, but this whole section made me laugh, especially the bolded part.

"I heard Bobby is voting Hillary, maybe I should vote for Hillary too"

Hilary just gave the american people the finger ,yesterday. She basically saying, you are not getting MY server, actually it is the taxpayers server, and it's none of your business what is on my emails. Yet, dee, albanyidiot, cardkilla, etc are all ok with that.

uh, you left out also volunteering for those O campaigns.

False self-labeling by Dems here is nearly universal. Albany may be a troll but he at least admits he is a liberal troll. Just pretty bizarre overall. And they only pop in when they think they can fake some outrage. Reminds me of Card fans coming to RR or the Lair to feign outrage about some contrived misdeed and not wanting to talk about their house. Nice and tidy.

-- She was not going to turn over her private server.
-- She didn't want to carry 2 devices with her (so she could use 2 email accounts).
-- It was Bill Clinton's server she was using.
-- She has already destroyed some emails.
-- It was more convenient to use her private email accounts.
--Did not want to answer why she fired an ambassador because he used private email accounts.

If anyone thinks that she should even be considered for POTUS, she was absolutely a sorry excuse for a candidate.
Lie, dodge, and deflect Its the Clinton way. She clearly thinks she adheres to her own set of rules. Her and Bill have always been an elitist bunch of entitled politicians (like many of Washington). They could care less about you and I. All they care about is money and power.

Like I said in an earlier post, this will soon pass because a large portion of her voting base does not care or even knows how corrupt she is. If they voted for a community organizer out of Chicago (one of the most corrupt areas of the USA) with no experience because of his skin color and teleprompter skills they will sure vote for the first woman President. As long as she promises more free stuff she will your next POTUS.

Hillary can still be the POTUS if 2 things happen.

1) Media circles the wagons to protect her, and the Dems hold their nose and nominate her
2) Republicans split and we end up with 3 candidates for 2016. Hillary, vs. traditional Republican, vs. Tea party candidate.

Honestly after 8 years of what was in my opinion the worst president of my lifetime, I could not vote for any Pub in 2008. Obama was a fresh face with fresh ideas, a smart well educated and well spoken guy, though lacking in experience. He was not the perfect candidate but better than the aging McCain, and when he put a functional illiterate on the ballot with him, it was game over. There was no legitimate 3rd party candidate in 08 or 12. Sorry but I can't describe my decision making process between two candidates without mentioning both.

In the 2012 Race I was attracted to Mitt Romeny in the beginning as he had a very strong resume, and had been a moderate governor that worked well with a Democratic legislature, but Romney sold out to the far right to gain the nomination. When he started talking about cutting taxes, adding $100 Bil to national defense and balancing the budget, in the midst of a weak recovery I got off the boat. OTOH Obama's economic stimulus was working (and has continued to work), and I approve of the ACA legislation.

So far in this cycle Jeb has indicated that he will not make that mistake. He has already defended some of his positions which are not popular with some on the right, rather than trying to double talk, parse words and vacillate. I admire him for it, as I do any politician for taking an unpopular stance on an issue out of principal.

Willy - not sure why you think that's funny. For example Jeb has good poll numbers in Florida and has a decent favorable rating. What that tells me is the people that lived under his office for the time he was governor generally approve of the job he did. That to me means a lot more than rhetoric and promises.

If you were hiring someone to work for you would you not care about thier past achievements, how well they did the previous job, and their general character? - are they honest?, can they be trusted?

Had you read my post on emailgate you would know that's not true.
I listened to some of here presser yesterday and I'm not impressed with the answers she gave. It was basically "trust me" and "I didn't want to carry two phones around with me".

Don't most officials do serious email on desk tops or lap tops? When I was running a business full time if I did all my emails on a friggin cell phone it would have taken me 25 hours a day of 2 fingered typing

The reason it's funny is because most of America are morons. Like 80%. We're in this pickle because too many people rely on someone else's opinion, which is EXACTLY does not need to happen. That's why we are in the shape we are in. The crowd followers. Weak and powerless.

And as for character. Give me a break, the media tells what you are to believe about a candidate. There are no true people of character who run for president, sorry. Politics are crooked and you better be a crook if you're gonna get elected.

If I were hiring, 99% of these clowns wouldn't make it 5 minutes before I showed them the door.

Pretty much I'd say. We're soon to be in 2016 and our election is going to end up looking like 1992 all over again. I'd say we are regressing as a country. 330 million Americans and the we're gonna pick from the same two names from 23 years ago?

Screwed may be a nice word.

Well, well, now the AP is sue the State Department to have the emails released. Even the MSM is going after her. I hope that keep it up. Your PC yesterday was absolutely a 'finger at the American people'.

But Scott Walker is in over his head.

I'm not trying to prove that point, rather that, if you're first, and overwhelming, reaction to the moronic and inaccurate letter sent o the governing Iranian regime is "the other side did stupid stuff first" then you are truly kawtowing to your party, and thus hindering constructive discourse over the matter by further lowering the bar, if that bar still exists.

I'm not sure if your *trillion* number can be proven. But looking at it nationwide I see a lot more Dems calling out Dems. That's not scientific, just environmental, which is prolly the basis of your assertion.

not really becasue whatever I said you would disagree with. Any way it's just a subjective opinion based on what I've seen of him.

I've read posts here from some on the left who claim that Cotton' s open letter in inaccurate. I haven't read it, but, from what I've heard, it explains to Iran that any agreement reached with the Obama administration without congress' approval amounts to an executive order which can be voided when he leaves office.

Is that inaccurate?

It is technically inaccurate. The exact wording of the letter was: "A so-called congressional-executive agreement requires a majority vote in both the House and the Senate… Anything not approved by Congress is a mere executive agreement."

The House has nothing to do with the ratification of treaties unless it is a treaty that involves foreign trade. From the Senate's website:

"The Constitution gives to the Senate the sole power to approve, by a two-thirds vote, treaties negotiated by the executive branch. The Senate does not ratify treaties. Instead, the Senate takes up a resolution of ratification, by which the Senate formally gives its advice and consent, empowering the president to proceed with ratification."

It is also a strange move. If you're going to pull a stunt like this, at least know exactly what the constitution says. It is a meaningless gesture that is embarrassing internationally.

Wow, she really is counting on the stupidity of the American people to help her along.

If mean, if only there was the technology that allowed multiple e-mail accounts on ONE phone! Could you imagine!

Plus, she always has an entourage surrounding her. She couldn't make one of her minions hold her other phone?

And no Deeeeefeeeeenseeee.....as one of the highest ranking officials in the US you don't wait to do your serious e-mail's when you can get to a laptop or desktop. You answer an important question immediately.

Worst case, she goes to the restroom and types one up while she's standing at the urinal.

Good to see everyone finally agreeing on something.

The republicans sending this letter was a monumentally stupid move. Both practically and politically. It does no good for the country.

And politically speaking, you cannot out Obama Obama unless you have the media in your pocket. Doing dumb shit like this just makes you sink to his level, then you get called out by every person in the media. In this day and age, most republicans really are sick of the party and aren't going to defend you for stupid shit like this.

So Hilary thought you needed separate phones to get separate emails? That's the type of out of touch person I want leading this country. Maybe old senile geriatrics like Defense will find that endearing though. Proobably has Florida on lock.

You're right decades of racial profiling and police misconduct towards minorities had nothing to do with this. It's just all about Michael Brown.I thought you were smarter than that.

Ah yes, I remember now. After the facts came out that Michael Brown got shot assaulting a police officer and not the made up story you had been running with, you shifted to the position that the riots in Ferguson, sparked by the Michael Brown shooting, didn't in fact have anything to do with Michael Brown or the media and public figures running with lies.

Carry on.

Obama & Holder shared a fist bump this morn, mission accomplished. the hunter has become the hunted, mor shot pigs!

best part of the story, protestors were laying siege to the police station because the chief announced his resignation. what? the mob gets its way, a person in authority actually out of a job (unlike ANYONE EVER in the Obama admin's many frack-ups), and they are angry? what exactly was the point of the protest/firing squad, they wanted the chief strung up rather than just fired?

Pretty obvious to me that Obama/Holder wanted to make an example out of Officer Wilson but couldn't figure out how to legally do it. So they wrote a report that contributed to 2 policemen getting shot IMO.

Yup, they absolutely did. Racist illegal acts were committed? then name names, and prosecute....but condemning the ENTIRE Ferguson local government as being guilty painted targets on them all.

Noone in their ivory towers in DC or the eastern elite corridor media should be surprised at what they have brought on, when you appease and surrender to lawless mobs don't be shocked that you get lawlessness as the result. Just evacuate the police and all city employees from Ferguson. Let those who remain build their own society and police their own laws.

In one of the videos from the attempted murders last night, after the gunshots and painful screams of the victims die down, a rioter yells, "acknowledgement 9 months ago would have kept that from happening."

Should Congressman send a letter to the Ferguson PD explaining they are willing to do everything they can to get peace in Missouri in spite of the efforts of the White House?

That's what I would do. Just troll everyone.
