That's what I would do. Just troll everyone.
isn't that your job?

Unfortunately I'm not a dipshit congressman trying to establish pen pals in Iran, so my attempts to troll the Obama administration wouldn't really make any waves.

If I was a congressman, especially if I didn't sign that stupid Iran letter, I'd be soliciting signatures right now for my open letter to the Police Department of Missouri.

Then I'd sit back and wait for the media backlash about making politics out of a crisis, and I'd turn that shit right back around and hammer Obama and Holder for sticking their noses in and trying to get people killed. Probably, with a lowered, solemn voice for effect, "The blood is on your hands Mr. President.".

Still don't know why I'm just on a message board and not in Washington leading the free world.

Text of the FCC regulations has been released. I suggest those of you who thought this was a secret insane thought police power grab go read them.

Here's the thing Eastky, once the Govt gets control of something, they never, ever relinquish it. What was wrong with the internet the way it was? Why did the Govt need this power?

Bottomline is it boils down to money, it always does. Now they have a new avenue for income.

I'll post a response, but I'd like to ask you to explain your position first. There are some fundamental misunderstandings of what the concept of net neutrality is and what this ruling does that I'm having trouble identifying. I don't mean that as a slight to you, there is a very vocal portion of the population that holds this position and the reasoning behind it is so vague that I'm not sure where to begin addressing it.

So, there won't be any of those pesky "unintended consequences" with this one? Did you get a "pinkie swear" on it? I know that kind of promise is good enough for many fans of this administration, even when making nuclear deals with Iran ...

but some of us remain skeptical.

Not even close, you have cornered that market here.

We should just get out of the middle east and concentrate all of our efforts back here. The enemy in the white house should be our concern now.

I don't think there's any need for the Govt to get involved. What we have now with the fcc probably isn't too bad, the problem is the govt will never just let it be.

That's not a knock on this administration, it's all of them. Once we open that box there is no closing it. Like I posted earlier, once we allow the govt to take the reins, it never relinquishes it.

I'm still amazed at Hillary proclaiming her server was secure because it was guarded by the secret service. Oh, and can't forget how you must need separate phones for separate email accounts. My gosh, is this really the best candidate the libs can put up?

You're right decades of racial profiling and police misconduct towards minorities had nothing to do with this. It's just all about Michael Brown.I thought you were smarter than that.
If it really was about racial injustice, the focus would be in Cleveland on the Tamir Rice atrocity, which is 100x worse than the Michael Brown case.

It's about race division. And division is an Obama/holder specialty.

Based on the American voting demographics now, yes, she is their best candidate and will probably win. Most folks do not know or care how corrupt both her and her husband are. It is about all the free crap she is going to promise just like Obama did. That is what appeals to the large masses in this country who do not pay taxes, leech off the government, and have an overwhelming sense of entitlement. Then there is the liberal base that just hates conservative principals and will vote Democrat no matter what. Same for Republicans who despise liberalism.

Voters see the Clinton or Bush name. They are power names in Washington and the average American voting minions just follow in line. The more educated voters are not as easily impressed, but those folks are outnumbered by a very large margin.

Does not matter who we vote in. The whole damn party system is corrupt. The government has their hands in so much stuff now it is impossible to get them away from it. Only way anything changes is if the masses revolt and who knows when that happens (when the free stuff goes away).

I don't give two shits about her email accounts and where they were. What I want out of the next POTUS is someone with a backbone and some balls. I don't know if Hillary has that or not, but we need a strong POTUS next time around. Although after Obama, anyone will look strong.

We need someone with charisma and someone to stand strong. I can only think of three Presidents in my lifetime that hold that criteria. Kennedy, Nixon, and Reagan.

I do not think anyone really knows. Have read several opinions but nothing concrete. Its a matter or simple Math and it is just not adding up. Unless money just appears out of thin air there is no way to sustain the level of entitlement spending much longer. If we are almost $20T in debt now and its safe to say we will be well over $30T in the next 5-10 years. When do we run out of trillions to borrow?

As someone who is almost 40, busted my rear end to get a college degree, worked my way up to a good paying level, puts a lot of money back in retirement and savings accounts, and just paid a crap load in taxes and entitlements (Medicare and SS) it is beyond depressing thinking about the government eventually finding their way into our retirement funds, savings, etc. because their entitlement spending is impossible to fund anymore.

I am not counting on having SS and am saving accordingly, but we all know there will be millions in my generation and others who are not saving anything and will be completely screwed without those benefits. Then you have all of these younger generations coming out of college with unbelievable student loan debts and can't find a job. I was lucky enough to go to UK when costs were not out of the roof and did not have to go into too much loan debt as kids do now. I had to put myself through college. It was not easy by any means, but manageable. I probably could not have gone to UK in the current environment.

All hell is going to break loose eventually. Its like a car crash you are watching and know there is nothing you can do to stop it.

Neanderthal Gov. Rick Scott of Florida is banning the terms "Global Warming" and "Climate Change"

hey maybe if they just don't say the words, people won't catch on - brilliant!
laugh.r191677.gif

According to an investigation by the nonprofit Florida Center for Investigative Reporting,
an "unwritten policy" not to use the terms "climate change" or "global
warming" took effect in 2011, after Governor Scott took office. This
according to several former officials at Florida's Department of
Environmental Protection, who were told not to use the terms even when
preparing economic forecasts of the impact of climate change, as well as
the conspicuous absence of the term even in contexts where it would be
appropriate-like state plans to deal with rising sea levels, for example

Could not disagree with this more strongly.

Every single person in the federal government breaking the record keeping laws should be thrown in jail. You set up your own server to keep your communications secret? You belong in jail. Plain and simple.

That goes for Hilary, and every other person has or hasn't broken the law.

"Oh, but it's not that big of a deal, this is just a distraction." No. This is the BIGGEST deal. Our federal officials thinking laws don't apply to them.

If republicans sending a letter to Iran is treason, what is someone hiding their official government communications from the American people in direct violation of American law?

This should be a treasonous offense. Along with government official obstruction of federal investigations.

not really becasue whatever I said you would disagree with. Any way it's just a subjective opinion based on what I've seen of him.
Wonder how much of your your opinion of Scott Walker is mainly based of the fact that he is a Conservative?

False, but no point beating more dead horses, or posting more charts from NOAA and NASA that clearly show otherwise.

No not really it's based on some lame comments he made. Such as asking if he believed in evolutionary science he said "'l'll have to punt" IOW he probably does but can't offend the far right by saying so.

He also compared the union protestors he dealt with in Wisconsin to ISIS.

Those are major political gaffs which won't go away when the primary starts up.

Also he was made a fool of when an impersonator called him claiming to be Charles Koch (who bankrolls Walkers campaigns) and Walker proceeded to have a ass-kissing conversation with him which was videoed, before being told the guy wasn't really Charles Koch.

Like I say, politics aside, this guy is not ready for prime time IMO.

D If he decides to run, I guess we'll find out. That he got duped on the phone call is pretty funny but I'm guessing that is something that could happen to any elected individual. Comparing union protestors to ISIS is over the top, but they can be pretty despicable. Carson answers a question that he should have punted, Walker punts and gets called out. Sometimes you can't win.

You are speculating too much. You don't know why she had her own server. Now if some proof comes in that she did it to hide something, then I hope they fry her. Comparing that with what the 47 did is over the top.

It literally does not matter why she kept her own server. Period. It's also painfully obvious to anyone but the naivest of Pollyannas that she is lying through her teeth.

Talk about not ready for prime time. Watch her UN presser and tell me she looks like anything more than a frigid, petulant baby

Finally jumped off the Hillary express when she said was addressing a mostly Mexican-American crowd a few years back and said two political issues "go together like chips and guacamole".

She has no soul. No more Clintons. No more Bushes.

As Transy and Rex said, it does not matter at all why she had her own server.

And no, it's not over the top to say the hearing cries of treason from the left over senators sending a letter to Iran is moronic while they defend their front runner for POTUS over keeping her own illegal secret server for government communications.

If the Republicans broke a law or committed treason with that letter, please, prosecute them. Get every one of the out of office.

It does not matter why she kept her own server (even though we all know why she did). Every single person using this, what seems to be common in this administration, technique of having a separate email address for government communications should be prosecuted.

Doesn't matter, even without bringing up law she should be fired for ethics alone. Serious conflict of interest.

Honestly I think the "we don't know why" mentality pretty much sums of everything that's wrong with the left these days. It implies there's actually a valid reason for her to be operating her own server while breaking US law.

Basically the thought that the law shouldn't apply to someone if they tell us their intentions are good.

"The Repbulicans are just trying to stop Obama. And really, he means well. So yeah, maybe his executive orders are unprecedented and run afoul of the Consitution, but he says he's doing it for the right reason."

Jerry Brown is the latest to come out and say they need to be united behind HRC and no other candidates are needed. Why are they so against a democratic open election? These blood oath coronations are much more destructive to the process than money.

I'm not defending Hillary by any means, but she says she didn't break any laws or rules that was in place at the time. Whether that is true or not, I have no idea.

I'm just saying I couldn't give a chit about it. I don't plan to vote for her anyway.

Momentum building for legal action against the Senators who signed the letter to Iran. They're all too big to touch but it's an interesting legal question to ponder:

On March 9th, 2015, forty-seven United States Senators committed a
treasonous offense when they decided to violate the Logan Act, a 1799
law which forbids unauthorized citizens from negotiating with foreign
governments. Violation of the Logan Act is a felony, punishable under
federal law with imprisonment of up to three years.

At a time when
the United States government is attempting to reach a potential nuclear
agreement with the Iranian government, 47 Senators saw fit to instead
issue a condescending letter to the Iranian government stating that any
agreement brokered by our President would not be upheld once the
president leaves office.

This is a clear violation of federal law. In attempting to undermine our own nation, these 47 senators have committed treason.

47 U.S. Senators in violation of The Logan Act

LOL

"momentum building for legal action"

No you dipshit, that's a petition a bunch of jackasses signed.

You are a goddam retard if you think there's going to be criminal action against these senators. They probably didn't even technically break the law. And you think Obama of all people wants to be the one who sets the precedent for going after criminal conduct while in office? After all the shit his administration has done?

Treasonous
laugh.r191677.gif

So they will receive the death penalty upon conviction or does the "building momentum" come from waterheads who don't even know the definition of treason?

From the State Department (below), the Senators made no claim to be able to directly negotiate with Iran.

"The clear intent of this provision [Logan Act] is to prohibit unauthorized persons from intervening in disputes between the United States and foreign governments. Nothing in section 953 [Logan Act], however, would appear to restrict members of the Congress from engaging in discussions with foreign officials in pursuance of their legislative duties under the Constitution."

Edit: To clarify, the quoted text is not from the current state department regarding the current situation. That is their stated opinion on the act from a similar situation in the late 70s involving Senators meeting with Cuban officials.

Since the Senators made no claims that extended beyond their duties and didn't do anything beyond their authority

Iran. I'm still confused about this country. Still not sure why so concerned. Iran has been manipulated by the U.S since the 1950s since installing dictators to help facilitate U.S loans that could never be paid off. Wish Argentina could have said no.......... Society wise Iran is fairly Western, and they haven't ever invaded another country (not counting Persia).

Why hasn't Saudia Arabia been nuked 5 times over?

Edit: Meaning, why hasn't the head of the snake been cut off. You dry up Saudi Wasabi money and you can pretty much make a huge dent in the middle east. Yet the focus is on Iran.

Iran matters bc they're in a position to destabilize the global economy to a degree we haven't seen since WWII. The 1970s will look like a cakewalk compared to what will happen if Iran starts blackmailing the gulf states with the bomb, much less if there's a nuclear arms race among the Sunni nations
