Netanyahu has been lying to the last two US Presidents. Contrary to his statements, he never did want a peace deal and admitted yesterday that he doesn't want a Palastinian State. No wonder his relations with the US are bad. Hopefully Israel flushes him today.

Speaking of campaigns, under-reported aspect is that BO sent a handful of campaign operatives to Israel and helped raise cash to defeat BN and still lost. He does have a special amount of confidence though that prevents him from ever really acknowledging his negative impact on races.

Think about that for a second - the US president sent in his campaign operatives to try to defeat a sitting leader of a nation that's our ally. Embarrassing, unprecedented meddling.

But Qwesly, he's the POTUS. It's in his sole discretion whether or not he wants to try and overthrow foreign allied governments through voter fraud or force. Pretty sure it says that somehwere in the Constitution.

BTW Abbys and the Fayyad governement in the West Bank have recognized Isreal and is a willing peace partenr, it's the Hamas governement in Gaza that has been the biggest obstacle.
The majority of the people on this board are not ant African American. They are anti President Obama policy. If Ben Carson were to decide to run for President, wouldn't the Democrats then say it is not the color of his skin but his policies that we disagree with?
Still, these people are on their border and until these so called peace makers condemn and help oust this obstacle it is the job of Israel leaders to protect by any means available. If that means by keeping up the pressure by not recognizing them, so be it. BTW, how much clout do you think these peace makers would have if they helped get rid of Hamas? I think it would go a long way to ensuring peace in that region.
One other thing, think of this in terms of our border. What if there was a faction in Canada that was trying to destroy America and the Mexicans were also not a friendly nation towards us and fighting with the faction from Canada had been going on for many years. Do you think we would be so easy to convince?
I'm not arguing against your point at all, I'm just using his hypothetical standard in the exact same way, to illustrate the stupidity of it.
I don't disagree that Israel shouldn't be very concerned about it's security arrangements. All I'm saying is this partricular PM has a history of not showing much interest in negotiating a deal contrary to what he told Presidents Bush and Obama and now he has admitted he was never in favor of a peace deal.
Also bare in mind that Israel was once mortal enemies with both Egypt and Jordan and fought bloody wars with them, but now they have lasting peace arrangements with both countries that include dipolmatic relations. Granted they aren't close to having that with the Pals at this stage but that should be the eventual goal a two state solution, which has been articulated by every US President going back to Reagan, not perpetual warfare, which appears to be what they have opted for.
