Playing scared D in the last 10 minutes - knowing they're not allowed to come within a foot

I don't talk about the refs - ever. But this is really sad to watch.

Remember how discouraged opponents looked on offense when they faced AD cuz they were scared of getting blocked?

That's how we look on defense because when our guys so much as look at the basketball, it's a whistle.



I've said over and over that there are no great teams this year - including us.

And I have no idea if our mediocre effort tonight (besides Briscoe and Ulis) would give us the W with a fair whistle.

But I sure wish the refs would've given us the chance to find out.

Refs have been dog shit and so have we. Humphries is bad, Skal is worse, Murray is taking awful shots, half the team is fouled out. What a gd disaster.

We're playing like asses. Ucla is playing out their asses. And the refs have their heads up their asses.

We could survive one, maybe even two of those. But all 3 is just the perfect ass-storm.

Powers to be = The people who create the style of play that they want the officials to enforce. NCAA folks.

They want the player with the ball to have free uninhibited movement. Hence, all the cheap fouls.

We got beat due to poor shooting. But, the days of real good defensive teams is on the way out of the collage game.

Shorter shot clocks and next year they will go to four quarter games turning the collage game into a boring NBA style of game.
