There is no way PJ ever had a 43" vertical. At 6'8 in shoes, and a 43" vertical, he would have been able to get the top of his head 3" above the rim, and his freakishly long arms to nearly touch the top of the backboard. The PJ I watched this past year never came close to that.

Seeing him in the scrimmage today I almost didn't recognize him with the weight loss. He looks healthier now than at UK. I think he just might make it and I'm pulling for him.

Unless he grows 3 inches and suddenly develops a 10 foot jump shot he’s never going to be an NBA player.

He does need to improve his skills, but he does not need "3 inches" to make it in the League (especially with his wingspan). That's nonsense. There are plenty of front line players in his size range thriving in the League.
