pitino went off on Bozich

Nothing is his fault. It's always someone else. The media, his players, the U.K. fans, on and on and on. The fact that the UL admin and fans keep buying and believing his POS is just as shocking. It must be all peachy in their world.

All the sunshine pumping, fellating, and ass kissing that Bozich has done and continues to do on Pitino/UofL's behalf, and Rick of course take's issue with the one time he dared to speak "out of turn" against them. If that doesn't highlight the corrupt stranglehold that Jurich has on the Louisville media, nothing will. UofL power players legitimately seem stunned and appalled whenever a reporter dares to do their job and question what's going on there in the same way that every other coach and program in the country gets questioned, sometimes even when there has been no evidence of wrongdoing (except for other corrupt ACC syndicates that are allowed to do whatever the hell they like with no consequences and minimal media backlash).

Everything he says make sense. I probably haven't read enough of it myself to make any judgements. From the beginning, I had a hard time believing Pitino knew anything about it. Still have a hard time with it. With all of his admitted issues and shortcomings, I just don't believe he would be careless enough to allow it when he's clearly on his way out. He wouldn't want that as his legacy.

I can objectively step back and make observations about Pitino and that program. He's had major issues but he holds an important piece of Kentucky Basketball. I don't give him a pass for anything because of his history with us. As a Kentucky fan, I respect what he did for Kentucky and what Kentucky did for him. My observations are not a reflection of that respect, just general observations about people and personalities in general.

He must have thought no one would see that besides ul fans.

IF, he told someone 36 hours before the game he wasn't going to do the post game, he did it to cover his ass if he lost. We all know he would have done it if he had won.

What is his excuse for all the other post games conferences he's missed when they've lost? It's a pattern with him.

It's funny when people give you reasons to believe they're not lying. They almost always prove their guilt to a greater degree. Looks to me like as much as Rick has lied in his life, he'd be better at it.

So, Joe Paterno once offered Pitino the head basketball coaching job at PSU?? Wow! That was interesting, to say the least.

You should've stopped after your 2nd sentence.

You're a naive fool if you haven't learned by now there aren't any depths Pitino and UL won't sink to in their efforts to keep up with big brother.

He said he didn't flip off a UK fan. The video and photographic evidence is fairly substantial to the contrary. If he is willing to lie about something so trivial, then he wouldn't have any problem lying about anything else. Including a prostitution scandal.

Haven't watched the video.
I need you to clarify this, please. He actually said that paterno asked him to be the head football coach at Penn state?

I changed my post. Pitino didn't specify but I assumed he meant head basketball coach. This was back in the 70's, if I heard it right.

If true, it just further shows the enormous power that JoePa had. But, that isn't all that surprising. Joe ran much of PSU.

Was Peterno the AD at PSU at some point? He did weave a tale of Paterno offering him a head coaching job. There is so much going on with that PC. Just wow, he bounces and rambles all over the place. I don't think he went off on bozich though, he knows he needs him and Crawford to keep laying down the smoke screen.

Pretty clear he is as desperate as I have ever seen him. This has gotten to a point where he knows this occurred.

Not for nothing was the Paterno reference thrown out. He sees what happened to him at PSU after the admittedly much worse scandal broke. His legacy was ruined. Pitino sees that it is certainly very possible that his entire career and legacy is tarnished completely by this.

He is in all out spin mode. Seizing on the one writer who has been sympathetic and written columns at least questioning some of the details. Pitino in his media savvy way grabs those observations and pushes them as proof nothing happened and it is all a big lie. We can all see that whatever discrepancies there are between the book and Powells proclamations are more than likely just that--discrepancies from details that occurred over a 4yr period. Much like a great defense attorney Pitino is pushes minor discrepancies in an attempt to thro the baby out with the bath water. Pretty smart on his part but it is now past that IMO. Four separate investigations and no chance for a cover up bc of the high publicity surrounding this.

Biggest shock of that PC to me by far was that Pitino actually admitted that AT LEAST some of these things happened. Think about that guys. This is gonna be good. The Cards are fried and Pitino is toast. He is right to be concerned about his legacy. Bc it may very well be lost to this scandal completely.

"Look what they did to that humble man, Paterno." Seems like Paterno was told what was going on and he decided to side with his long time assistant and friend. You could claim he was old school and really didn't fully understand child abuse but that is a big stretch.

I guess i just assumed it was late in his career. Just a few years ago or so. That's why it caught me off guard.

Guess that shows where Pitino stands in my mind, that i would so quickly and easily believe he had said something so retarded.

Sadly, seems like i was wrong in my assumption. I like my version a whole lot more.

He loved the Crawford spin pieces. Kept bringing them up. All crawford did was question the amount of money and the number of sex parties. I believe he said it was only 11 sex parties, but that was 11 too many. [laughing] OK Eric, lets call it $8000 and 11 sex parties with minors. Now bring the hammer.

IMO, Rick is at that stage of his life and career that it's all about his Legacy. Will stoop to any level to try and protect it.

This deserved its own thread. Full of contradictions. Everyone needs to read this.

Cracking under pressure.

Wow just wow!! Pitino really has lost it. Cal has drove that boy crazy. Lol
Being serious I think Pitino has gotten progressively worse in several behavioral areas in the last couple of years. Can you really see him flipping the bird like that a couple of years ago? He seems almost out of touch with reality in some of the things he says, makes you wonder if he really believes them, expects whoever he is addressing to believe them or cares if what he says is believed or not.
