We could do way worse than Garrison and Moreno but we were very close to getting Gwath maybe he or garrison would have played the 4 idk but seems like we aren’t done with bigs
I can see a case Jasper is PG1, we recruit a scoring combo guard/wing and oweh at 2/3... Lewis is PG2
In our system, we will have a passing frontcourt handling and distributing the ball, guards mostly just shoot, drive and make attack. Jasper is enough for this role.
We may not need a pure pg in starting lineup with passing frontcourt.
Remember Butler is also good but also not great at pure ball distribution skills
I hope Pope adapts his system eventually. It’s going to be difficult to find the right frontcourt players.
Well yeah you could make it work in a lot of scenarios. We are all over contacting and meeting with point guards so that tells me we are taking one. Center is the one spot we could maybe do without but we have almost signed a 7 footer already so they are looking there as well

I think it’s clear he wants a lot more versatility and athleticism on the perimeter
If we miss on this one I'll be pi$$ed. He’s just what we need and would be a great addition to any team. Don’t pu$$y foot around and get it done.

Pretty sure 1-3 rotation will be jasper, lewis, chandler, oweh, kam, and portal guy (could be any position, 1 or 2 or 3).
If that portal guy is 1, jasper will play 2, if that portal guy is 2 or 3, jasper is likely to play 1..
Do not think we will recruit two or more guys at 1-3...

We NEED this one and a few others. People can talk about plenty of time, but other schools are striking while the iron is hot. Don't get caught holding ur _____.
I think both Moreno and Lewis will be good depth off the bench PCs . Add Chandler and Kam Williams and that's a squad

When college basketball players are getting $50,000-$75,000 for EACH game they play then something is BAD wrong. This is insanity and as much as I love UK basketball, I’m not sure how long I’m gonna last. There are sick people, needy people, veterans, and about 100 other categories that money like this could really help.

Can he finish at the rim in traffic? That's the biggest area Oweh needs to work on this summer, along with 3 pt shooting.
I dont disagree at all. He’ll get some 1-3 minutes. . I do think Kam being versatile eats into some of those that he would have gotten playing behind a less versatile 3.
It helps that Pope seemingly prefers 9-10 deep and not a 7-8 man rotation.
The groupings weren’t really meant as the rotation breakdown beyond the starters.
I grouped the 3 at the bottom due to non starting returners and BG in the Bol line bc my gut feeling is he transfers if we sign Bol (or another PF on top of Yaxel, AF, MM). Def get how the groupings appeared to insinuate Chandler was out of the rotation tho…that’s on me
FWIW Yaxel is the number one recruit on On3 and they list his NIL Value at 2.3M. Don’t know what they base it on but it’s a data point.
Don't let this guy get away. Hard to imagine how good Pierre and Yaxel would be together with Oweh.
I’d that’s true and he doesn’t enter and come he’s a DA because Purdue isn’t matching that and I just don’t believe it at all.
I think a lot of people are severely underestimating the role/improvement chandler will have next year.
