Peegs in a total meltdown

Some IU fans want Crean gone as much as we hope he stays 20 years.Which is worse having Crean or Pitino as the face of a college basketball program?

This is a fair point. Based on my travels in that state, I would say at least 40 percent of them are mentally competent.
Correct...... I am pretty sure the influx of out of state workers that settled in southern Indiana after they legalized the riverboat gambling brought them at or slightly above 40%.

I hope they both coach their respective schools for a good long while; the more the merrier!

You must have travelled primarily in the northern half of Indiana. My 37 years of going to the southern half on a regular basis leads me to believe that percentage is no higher than 5%

This Indiana team might be his best talent team in his time there. They got a few players this year. He better not lose many more.

Why would they be in meltdown mode?

Have they forgotten 2011?

I created the thread "Gun to Your Head", Duke or UNC, which do you hate the most, but although I hate UNC with a passion, IU has been, and always will be, the program I hate the most.
I knew it was a trick question! I answered IU in that thread. :cool2:

Watch IU and you'll learn to really appreciate Cal. For all the "he just rolls the ball out" idiots, we're 3-4 games into the season and Cal already has our freshmen playing defense better than their veterans do.

It will also make you really, really appreciate what Ulis does on the offense end.

Cal needs elite guards for his offense to shine, but on defense, he really is one of the best. Would just like to see him add a zone to his repertoire.
LOL, you definitely typed this out before tonight's UK game started. UK is doing the exact opposite of everything you posted.

I think Crean is probably on his way out...

He's milked that final four dry...Dwayne Wade, Travis Diener, and Steve Novak are not walking through that door...

Why he left Marquette for the IU dumpster fire is beyond me...and why IU wanted him when he was 5 years removed from a final 4 is head scratching as well...

I mean he could have been the man at Marquette...make the tourney every year and occasionally advance a round or two...could have collected pay raises every couple years as his name would pop up for other openings...no extreme pressure or a lunatic fan base...wouldn't have to go after the big elite prospects and fight Cal, Self, Roy, K, or the top b10 programs at every turn...

if it was blue blood glory he wanted...he could have waited and maybe been in a position to snag the UCLA job or be on the list to replace Roy and K...

This board really fails at understanding a coaches mentality. Often you'll hear, " he could have had no pressure" "he could have been on easy street" etc. this is not the way elite D1 and professional coaches think. They don't get where they are by shying AWAY from the competition and challenge. They get where they are by running into the challenge.

I'm working my way to coaching college football. I'm not going to stay in high school where I could cash some decent checks and have security. I want a higher level. I'm a competitor. These guys are the same.
