Peegs in a total meltdown

Cal seems to have a way of avoiding the recruits with crazy attached to them. Even when they're begging to come here.

Crean sat Yogi, Troy and another star (Blackmon?) for not playing defense against Wake.

Cal is able to manage egos. Other coaches...not so much.

Crean is their Tubby. Though Tubby at least won a championship and made the Elite 8 three times, as opposed to the Sweet 16 twice. Ironically, Crean beat Tubby, although Crean had Wade and Bogans was injured.

I for one am selfishly, happy that Crean is the head basketball coach at Indiana! The longer he's there, the longer Indiana will remain irrelevant in college basketball.

Cal must have a crystal ball when it involves recruiting. He seems to almost always pass or "just miss" on these recruits that have problems during their college career.

His sister chimed in as well.

They are building it the right way. I mean, the list of quality characters like Hanner Perea, Devin Davis and Emmitt Holt just reiterate this notion.

After their recent history of cheating, it's good to see that they're trying to clean up their act and do things the proper way. Crean's the man to lead them.

The folks who handle things on social media like that are usually so pleasant and reasonable.

I don't know enough about what Troy Williams is like personally since I don't follow IU basketball that closely, but I hope he doesn't have the sense of entitlement that his mom obviously possesses.

Sounds like Crean just made something up to say Troy played poorly to make him a scapegoat for what is a systematic breakdown in coaching team defending.

I think it's both coaching and lack of effort. For example, on Wake's three pointer to end the first half, Yogi Ferrell just played off his man and then when his man made a move to his right, he was a little lackadaisical in getting his hand up to challenge the shot which went in. Last three Wake baskets were layups. First one, Troy Williams just had the ball ripped away. Second one, Thomas Bryant and one of their guards just basically gave the Wake player an escort right into the lane. I'd seen better defense played in All-Star games. At least Bryant challenged the third one, but again, the Wake player just got right into the lane with little resistance.

Wow is all you can really say; the mother & sister both just trashing Crean, LMAO!!

You know their A.D is weighing his options right now, he'd be insane not to be, IMO.

When the families, especially the mothers, begin speaking out against the coach, all bets are off.

I love it!! If this were Kentucky, those hateful, inbred mongrels would be dancing in the cornfields with their cousins. Screw IU and anything to do with that school & it's fans.

I created the thread "Gun to Your Head", Duke or UNC, which do you hate the most, but although I hate UNC with a passion, IU has been, and always will be, the program I hate the most.

Just ask Billy Clyde. He can vouch for this statement. It sure helped usher his lame ass out of here. Although it wasn't as public; and definitely not as low class; it was just as effective.

As bad as Cream is, I doubt he was making players sit on toilets, dating their g/f's, and refusing to let guys ride the bus. I mean, she's mad that her kid may not start. Totally different situations.

True, but the basic principal that I was referring to still applies - don't upset the mommas.

I love how they think that Brad Stevens is just waiting for the opportunity. Pure lunacy.

no chance stevens is going to looshierland. the tards are counting on him taking over after r3stax leaves.

Watch IU and you'll learn to really appreciate Cal. For all the "he just rolls the ball out" idiots, we're 3-4 games into the season and Cal already has our freshmen playing defense better than their veterans do.

It will also make you really, really appreciate what Ulis does on the offense end.

Cal needs elite guards for his offense to shine, but on defense, he really is one of the best. Would just like to see him add a zone to his repertoire.

A player is going to make a mistake in any given game. Pointing out a single one doesn't mean much of anything.

The larger trend here is that Crean's teams tend to be quite weak on defense for a program that fancies itself as top shelf. They've ranked in the top 80 of defensive effiency in Kenpom just twice during his career at IU. Players grow, players leave, and new players are added every single season. Crean is the constant in this consistent ineptitude on defense.
