Sydney is absolutely beautiful to watch run. She has no peers. What a gracious young lady on top of it.

She and Femke are tied going into hurdle 7 and then you can actually see Sydney change gears. The result was breathtaking.

She runs effortlessly. It's a joy to watch.

GOAT of GOATS. She smokes the field every time and barely looks like she has to try. This race she looked like she put in some effort… so she could break the freaking world record

One hurdle to go, it was like an accordion player filling the accordion up with air. The gap grew so far and so fast, I think it caught Bol by surprise. Instead of neck and neck, suddenly SML was 10 ft in front and then *poof* she disappeared into the distance like the roadrunner.

After the race was almost as surprising. SML rested for 10 seconds and then got up to congratulate the other runners. Hair and makeup like she was going out to dinner.

I just looked at the video again. It was 3 hurdles to go. The two came off the hurdle close together and then it was over.

What a leg by Syd 47.71 is amazing. WR is 47.60. She needs to go after that.

I was looking for a post about Sydney. She turned what was suppose to be a showdown into a route. I think Bol is a good person and very talented, but Sydney broke her this week. Tried to run with Sydney and it cost her the silver.

And that girl that won the 100m hurdles was and maybe still is at UK is also a gold medal winner. The hurdles were quite the events for UK.

As for Sydney going for the double, I think she would win either, and be the favorite in both. But those are tough races and having to run multiple heats could weaken her. I think she is great, most dominant track athlete in their event there, I just don't want to see her over extent herself.
