We got to pray for a strong outing from Moore tomorrow. Pooser was lights out today. Great game!! Big win!! GBB
Today was a much better performance. Hopefully they finish up whoever tomorrow night and move on.
Great game by pitchers. Bullpen shuts them down to finish it.
I was there today too and crowd was really into it. That double play had them roaring. Hope they finish it off tomorrow.
Man I’m jealous. Those games look so fun with the intermittent music. Kind of like a hockey game.
It is a fun atmosphere and a beautiful ballpark. Even heard some visiting fans talking about what a nice stadium it was. Was there for Friday and Saturday games. Not so sure about tomorrow.
Honestly, is this the first game you've watched?
1. Roszel is widely recognized as a great pitching coach.
2. Niman was untouchable (1 hit and 0 runs) for four innings. He had an unlucky fifth when the other team had 4 hits that never left the infield. We got the win which allowed us to beat the Mac team and weakest team in the region and save our two best pitchers for what will presumably be tougher games.
3. Our bullpen is ranked in the top half of the SEC (though they have had some isolated struggles down the stretch).
4. Hogan was lights out (OUT OF THE BULLPEN) to preserve the win when we stopped scoring runs in inning 5 or 6.
5. Our pitching (starting and bullpen) was amazing in game 2.
I know that message boards are negative when times are tough, but good god.
Illinois did not play their lefty ace, for some reason. So, they should have him for tomorrow, but I would think they would feel compelled to use him for the elimination game against Indiana State.
Encouraging you all to come to the ballpark tomorrow, it has been a blast. Should be electric tomorrow night, which will be a preview for next week would should be wild when we host our first ever super regional.

And yes, I have watched every game that was available to watch this year.

Niman has STRUGGLED for more than a month in his last 5-6 starts before yesterday's start. Do you call walking 2 batters and hitting a 3rd one in the 5th inning bad luck?? Lol. I guess you think CM should have stayed with him until he completely blew an 8 run lead.
The bullpen ERA has been greater than 10 over the last few weeks.
The coaching staff has stayed with the starters several games when it was obvious the starter was done. Not sure if that is CM or the pitching coach, and they may have not had a choice due to the struggles of the relievers of late.
But, pretty sure not having a strong bullpen falls on who???

I'm not triggered, but your commentary was wrong from top to bottom so thought it was worthy of note. Yes, Niman has struggled, so instead of sticking with the same old same old, the coaches had him in for relief in hoover, and then started him in game 1 against a Mac team in a regional (a game that we won) instead of pitching him in game 2 (a game we also won).
It's ok to sit one out every now and then.

Indiana State up 7-0 on Illinois in the 5th, so looks like that's who we'll play tonight at 6 EST.
I'm all for Indiana State. Variety and think UK will be able to score a lot on their pitching staff with it being their 4th game of weekend.

It's on ESPN+. I have it so will watch it there on my TV. Some on here know of free livestreams.....not sure if it can be found that way.

This TV thing blows, #2 overall seed and crap coverage. At least for me baseball is the one sport I like on radio pretty well.

These announcers did the same thing Friday ... asking about kids in school. It is June dudes ... school is out (they must be from the Northeast).
Not a dumb question. They have a formula. The main one is who has been the home team the least. If that is even, there are other steps to figure it out.
Looks like UK is the visitors today. Maybe so they can be the home team if they to another game?
