9am start drives me insane. One of these days we will get a UFC/UK game hit back to back and it will be a perfect Saturday.
Not sure what to think of Izzy right now. One of my all time favorites but it does feel like since his redemption KO of Perriera that he's been just a tad slow and just a tad tentative. The Strickland fight was an embarrassment....never in my life understand why dudes don't just hammer Strickland with body shots mostly kicks. He's not gonna take anyone down. Yet everyone wants to stand and punch with him. Bust his legs and liver up and he will go down. He's good at guarding his head but is very open to that liver kick and any form of leg kick you can think of. Anyways that's another issue altogether....
What's everyone think here? Anyone gambling on it? I see a bunch of new names....assume most are contenders series guys in their first fight.
MVP vs Shara OVER 100 sig strikes is the only thing that stands out to me. Both of them are heavy volume strikers and unless there's an early KO, that oughta hit. I think MVPs quickness will bother Shara, but Shara's kicks are impossible to deal with. Really wish he didn't have so much hype on him, not sure what kind of wrestler he is but if he can solidify that part of his game I could see him contending for a title. Dude just does things that others physically cant, and he's an extremely smart fighter.
Would love to hear other MMA fans' thoughts. Esp who everyone is betting and why.
