I disagree... I think the world will be fine if population decreases. We'll adjust. What Japan is saying is that their entitlement structure will have an issue and the old people sitting around doing nothing will struggle.
The biggest issue I see is population increase of morons compared to the population decrease of smart people. So in that context, Japan losing population is a problem.
I think that's the unspoken portion. It isn't just population decline. It's decline of certain population while others continue.
Either way, the importance of discussion and awareness of those topics is important. Before musk bought Twitter, the entire social media realm was nothing more than just propaganda
