OT: Louisville @ Notre Dame

When did uk claim to be?

Speaking of though, you think a school that thinks it has a strong football program would have lost 6 of its last 7 to UK?
When did Louisville make that claim?

When Tom Jurich was fired, Petrino basically quit caring about the program and I believe he wanted to be fired. The new AD Tyra then made a bad hire in Satterfield. Coaching matters, I think we have a really good one in Brohm.

Ah well, uofls schedule is so weak I thought they'd be playing for a playoff and we'd get to ruin it for them at year end.

Nah, turns out they're trash and it'll just be a meaningless beat down
Do you think that with the 12 team playoffs a team that has a terrible strength of schedule but is undefeated could be excluded? Even an ACC team?

Impossible unless there are FIVE conference champions ranked above the undefeated team in question. It's certainly foreseeable that if there are two unbeaten midmajor championship teams, that one could be left out but it would never happen to an undefeated P4 team. But, it  could happen to a 9 and 3 ACC championship team, if there were two legitimate good midmajor conference champions deemed ahead of the ACC team.

Georgia tech, SMU, BC, Pitt, they are all as good, if not better than South Carolina. That’s not even counting Clemson, Notre Dame, and Miami, all of which are better teams.

Hey, @rockycard, I think we have to put Stanford right up there with those that are better than South Carolina!!

Heck, you’re probably as tuned out as I am, by now.

A sh!ty season for football in Kentucky!!

Do you still think that way about Brohm?

Stanford was a terrible loss, that should have happened.

The ending was bizarre.

It will likely never be addressed, but I suspect Brohm wanted a shorter pass for a first down and field goal attempt at the end. The Hail Mary allowed a likely incompletion with time left: the penalties with a tick remaining were a miracle gift to Stanford.
