Was listening today to Dan Patrick talk about the Odell Beckham incident and how that can be prevented. He said the following:
"In light of the Odell Beckham incident, the NFL should keep flags for penalties like offsides, false start, illegal motion and other infractions like that.... However, for personal foul's and unsportsmanlike conduct, roughing, targeting etc. go to something similar to the Card system used for soccer. 1 Yellow Card for warning (the threshold for obtaining a 2nd then is much smaller), and 2nd yellow and you are ejected, fined and miss the next game. If you accumulate 5 yellow cards total in the year you are suspended for the next game and are fined."
