I'd like to see a Lexington school win for a change, have not won any championship in any division since 2009. But have been runner up many times, in a number of classes, including two last year. But just can't get over the hump.

Would be an amazing Cinderella story to see Bryan Station win the 6A, would be the first Lexington school since 1981 to win the biggest schools division (Of course, almost no one other than Male has kept X and Trinity from winning most of the last 40 years or so). Especially given that BS lost its first three games of the season.

It's going to be tough, put hoping Holy Cross can pull this one out to make its 1st State Championship game.

UK commit Anthony Brown just caught a TD for Springfield in the Ohio HS football playoffs. Man, this kid can fly.

*Now he just made a huge 4th quarter mistake and tried to pick up punt on the bounce and turned it over.

Corbin 49
Franklin County 35

Hard to control Kaden Moorman but Corbin beat them twice this year. Boyle County is next (again). They have quite a program.

I was told he ran an unofficial 40 that was really fast … 4.2-ish

Refs tried to steal the td from male to give ballard the game and instant karma ensued on the next play! Go Dawgs beat Bullitt East!!!

Rooting for Frederick Douglass to get their first state title. They have been knocking on the door the last few years.

The Corbin Boyle game is going to be fun. Corbin facing their ex coach which according to a lot of rumors may also again be their next coach. Corbin’s Dakota Patterson transferred to Boyle but unfortunately tore his ACL just before the season at a UK camp. I wish he would’ve gotten to play. The storylines are endless with this game.

Same teams pretty much each yr. 6 classes in a state this size is ridiculous.

Ga dropped a class this year because state legislature got involved with schedule and travel. We had regions in south Ga that had 3 hours travel for a regular season game. Legislature passed a ruling that if region game was over 60 miles away, GHSA paid all travel expenses. Needless to say we got rid of those regions and dropped a class. Our semi's are next week, some new blood still playing, 5 teams within an hour of me played in the quarters, usually my area is done by 2nd round. 14 year old frosh is leading his undefeated team into the Semi's next Friday, they already sent the favorite home, won big last night. Remember the name Ju Ju Lewis, likely headed to tOSU but is a player.

What’s the context of this? Even with the fumble return. What the hell happened?
I believe many folks think that the Male ball carrier extended and got the ball over the goal line for a TD before the ball came loose and Ballard recovered. Listened to it on the web livestream. Dudes on there talked about Ballard had fumbled a snap from under center earlier in the game. Happened again with Male D recovering and taking it in for the go ahead TD.

Schools with the largest enrollments already pretty well dominate each class. Fewer classes will make that even more so. Give smaller guys a fighting chance imo. What's it matter how many classes there are anyway?

You're beating out roughly 32 teams for a "state" championship. With your rationale why not 10 classes?

I haven't heard anything about Haddix coming back to Corbin. He did Corbin wrong. Mountain people don't take to that. I'd be shocked if he were ever rehired. Besides, Tommy is doing a fine job.
