For those dads out there, or those that remember your first sporting events with your own father, what was it for you? I took my 9 month old to Camden Yards today for the Orioles game and he was awesome. We stayed till the 8th inning and took off when he fell asleep. No crying, no fussing, just some baseball with my boy. I can't wait to take him to his first UK game in the near future. Here we are at our first game:

I played baseball growing up and my Dad was the assistant coach every year and they would take us to Nashville Sounds games after every season. I know it's a minor league team but those are great memories. And now my Dad has passed away they've even became more precious.

As far as my children go, I took them to see the Cats of course

I remember my dad taking us to a Reds game when I was 2 or 3.

Whenever he would leave to go get snacks, I thought he was going down to the field to play.

Took my son to his first game at Rupp two seasons ago. He got to meet KAT and had an absolute blast.

I am taking him to one of the shooting camps this summer with Cal and Booker. Really not sure who is more excited about that, him or me.

I'm a step dude, so my first event with my new daughter was her first tee ball game. She outruns all the boys and plays pitcher (essentially the only kid they can trust to pay attention and go after the ball). She's awesome, and I'm wildly happy to have been a part of it :)

I can't remember for sure but pretty much guarandamntee first sporting event I ever took my kids to was a tractor pull.

thanks for sharing. that's a beautiful park and a nice picture/memory. you're a good dad.

I know you were talking to the dads....
but for me, I was never taken to a game. I did, however, take my daughter to a UK game when she was 13; we were nine rows up from the floor (dear friend gave us tickets) and we got to see Keith Bogans warming up. She developed a major crush on him then and there.

My dad took me to see the KY Colonels back in the 70s. Played against some guy named Julius Erving.
Switch the Denver Nuggets for the Colonels and that's mine as well. Got the Doctor's autograph that night.
I took my sons to see the blue white games in the 90s.
