With yesterday being the 80th anniversary of D Day, I watched a lot of interviews of the guys that where on that beach that day.
Shed a lot of tears and am still amazed at the bravery of those guys when a lot of them were still just teenagers. One poor guy said it was his job to drop the ramp when they hit the beach. When he dropped it, the Germans opened up with machine guns and instantly dropped 15-20 of the soldiers. He said the only reason he wasn't one of them is because he was behind them, and they took the bullets. Poor dude broke down and I cried right along with him. I don't think we can ever be thankful enough for what those guys did.
