Oregon- Ohio State

*Sigh* I was afraid of Oregon's defense. Seems to be a chronic west coast issue.

I despise the fact that right now Crapeye State looks like the frontruner for winner of the first college football playoffs.

Ohio State is just on another level than any of the other teams involved. As long as they stay focused, they will cruise to the title.

OSU found something after that mich loss. But I also don’t think the byes actually help teams. Being off makes it more difficult to get to game speed against someone that hasn’t had as big of a break. It’s been 3 1/2 weeks since Oregon has played. Playoffs should get going much sooner after the season.

Ohio State winning was what I expected. A blowout though? Not a chance.

I said Ohio State vs Georgia when the bracket came out. We’ll see if Georgia can get there.

I like the expanded playoff and it’s here to stay probably even expand to 16. Teams that are historically average or even bad get a shot with a great season. Indiana Arizona St etc.
they should go to 16, seed it better, and stop with these prolonged gaps after the end of season and between rounds . The thing that makes the season difficult is the showing up week after week with the right preparation and emotional recovery etc and then we get to post season and it’s 10-12 days between games. In my opinion, reduces the chance for upsets.

I can’t remember who it was that said that but it’s so true. At least games matter.

Looking at the preseason rankings and the teams still in it. Six of the top 8 are playing in the playoff. After Oregon loses, you will have the preseason 2 and 4 in the semi with possibly the number one preseason ranked team (or 7th) playing the 8th preseason ranked team.

So we at least played it out.
