They should have legalized the Possum Ball and signed Jethro to Pitch, also Herman Munster would have been a great power hitter.
First game I ever attended I was 8 yrs old was at Crosley Field in Cincy between the Reds and the Dodgers. Rose was a rookie and Frank Robinson was the star and Sandy Koufax was the starting pitcher.Been a Dodger HATER since Drysdale and Koufax were rookies (mid 50's) in Brooklyn!
....Duke Snider, Jackie Robinson, Pee Wee Reese, Gil Hodges
....Larsen beat them with no hitter in the World Series.
I was there as well! Took my little cousin to his first game. My Mammaw watched them when I was a kid and I became obsessed with chipper jones. Was a kid for the furcal, Giles, Andruw, chipper, javy Lopez, John smoltz days.SunTrust park is legit. Went for opening day last year and was blown away.
Yes, I believe Don Drysdale made an appearance on both. Leo Durocher made appearance on a bunch of stuff back then. I believe Mr. Ed was almost a Dodger too, I know Leo made an appearance on there as well.Weren't Beaver Cleaver and Bobby Brady also fans of the Dodgers?
I wore my vintage Barry Larkin 1990 Jersey to work today to commemorate the last Reds World Series championship. I was 6 years old at the time. Probably won't live to see them win another one.
We used to go to 10 games every season. Had family friend who played for the Dodgers and then Pirates.First game I ever attended I was 8 yrs old was at Crosley Field in Cincy between the Reds and the Dodgers. Rose was a rookie and Frank Robinson was the star and Sandy Koufax was the starting pitcher.
Not counting making you want to pull all your teeth out and scream!Go Mets! (keeping me humble since '86)
And for the "baseball is boring" crowd. The last Kentucky game featured 25 turnovers and 59 free throws. Talk about watching paint dry.
I loved going to Crosley Field as a kid...great childhood memories! I grew up as a Reds fan...then those knuckleheads fired the greatest Coach they ever had...when they got rid of Sparky, I said screw them...First game I ever attended I was 8 yrs old was at Crosley Field in Cincy between the Reds and the Dodgers. Good news is we can't lose today
