Thanks couldn't think of it. But it was funny, he was all proud saying that Kansas has won 5 championships and Self is a great coach. lol He was actually a nice guy so I didn't want to put him in his place.

Actually I'm not in Kansas, currently at a hotel at Dayton OH. I always were my UK gear everywhere I go and I was at the pool with my kids at hotel and we just started talking.
Dayton is worse than Kansas. Where is next years vacation? Tulsa?

My wife's KU fan cousin tried that 5 titles BS on me. I calmly explained that 2 of those are Helms awards, not titles. His face turned as red as a hoosier in heat. Those wannabes know.

Kansas fans have a major complex because they are in one of the most awkward positions in all of sports.
Name another program or franchise with the amount of history as Kansas that is also extremely limited where people generally measure success.
Had they not got freakishly lucky in 2008......whew. I know Kansas fans think to themselves every day how lucky they are to have just 3. And that feeds into the complex.
And this needs to be explained by @khuff80. He said all of this old stuff never really happened and it's irrelevant. What about crap honorary banners that were never won on the court?

It's either 8 to 3 or it's 10 to 5, we have two Helms that we could count if we were as shameless as our jealous rivals.
I keep saying this. Kentucky needs to start recognizing ten if unc and kansas are claiming more. Unc gets credit for 7 everywhere except the official books. Espn has even pushed it. Kansas has billboards showing 5 and espn never misses a chance to show the banners during the games at AFH.
Kentucky has 10 titles.
