On the womens side of it, Danville Christian Academy forward Grace Mbugua commits to Louisville

Color me skeptical. There's only one R in Forest.

But, also, arguing about what you deem "special" and what you don't deem "special" isn't really interesting to me.

So, based on that,

KAB Cats, I appreciate the patience you have shown in this thread. It seems logical to halt discussion with people who choose to judge others by where they live or what sports team they support. It becomes very odd when a person brags about insulting family as a sign of allegiance to a sports team. Take care.

I’m skeptical you are from Louisville based on misspelling of common areas & believing the only place to live is suburbia.

I’m guessing you are from Shelby, Bullitt or Nelson County.
Ok, yup you caught me… I made that up. Hey everyone I’m cool. I live in Louisville but not really. I tell you what, when I go to Target on Westport road tomorrow I’ll take a picture of it for you.

Thanks. But no thanks. Did my tour in looeynam. Never to return.
I bet all these Louisville lovers on here never go downtown or to Portland. You won’t see them over on Muhammad Ali at night. You should have seen the downtown area after the Taylor Shenanigans. From Baxter Ave. to 9th street it looked like a Hurricane hit the city. Boarded up businesses and broken glass everywhere.

Actually, this is why I know you live on the outskirts because you legitimately don’t know what you’re talking about. Many great places downtown and in surrounding neighborhoods. I totally believe you think you’re just being honest though.

I don’t really care to change your mind or really care about your opinions if I’m being honest. From my view, people from all over the state are welcomed here and genuinely love this state. I can’t help if there are angry people

Oh yes you are the authority on all things Louisville, I’ve lived here my entire life so I don’t care and if you doubt it, name a place and I’ll meet you there. Nobody here thinks Louisville is cool so I don’t know why anyone would lie about it. So go ahead and tell me what about that statement you quoted was wrong. You said you didn’t care about 3 posts ago so which is it?

My man, I don’t care where you live. You might want to delete some past posts if you want to double down, but I don’t care enough to quote them.

Let’s assume you live in Middletown. That’s cool.

There are no doubts there are tough areas of Louisville. There is no doubt there is crime in this city. There is certainly homelessness. And there are also some really great places downtown. All of that is true. It’s true at the same time. That’s called nuance.

Meanwhile, the tourism in Louisville is maybe the steongest it’s ever been. There are actually more entertainment districts at any time in the modern era. Great brewery scene. Many festivals. Many coffee shops. I also walk downtown or in a neighborhood near downtown almost every weekend. I also take my dog and a kid. So, yeah, what you’re typing doesn’t add up. You’re just playing off stereotypes and age old Hank Williams quips about “getting mugged if you go downtown.” Meh; whatever. Don’t go.

But also, don’t be a hater.

I don’t need to delete anything. You said I live in bullet county so which is it. I never said you would get mugged, I said Louisville isn’t some great metropolitan area. I’d walk downtown in the middle of the night in downtown, I’ve spent many hours in the worst parts of the city. The fact you defend it so fiercely is crazy to me. It’s a city, nothing more. The reason most don’t like it is because of people like you. You think you are some big timer or that Louisville is the on,y reason the state of Kentucky exists. Of course it has nice areas, but compared to even moderately sized cities like Cincinnati it’s nothing special that’s it.

I named three counties but I literally don’t care. I have no way of proving where you actually live. You are expressing a viewpoint from many who go to the east end and never go inside the loop though.

How did I know that?

Psychic!

I’ve been all across the city and the hipster breweries and eateries are nothing special either. From the outer loop, to the Snyder, to Fern Valley Road, to PRP, Valley Station, and beyond.

Louisville is a great city. It's the economic engine of the state. I've lived in Lexington most of my life, but it's a great place to escape to.
