I'm as critical as a lot of others but you have to give credit when its due. Stoops is a defensive coach and he has one helluva defense. His problem is when he gets a good OC they go to the NFL. That wears out our defense a lot of times. If Hamden could call plays better than what I've seen I would really like this team. One thing for sure the country is dropping their collective jaw when the see this score. Maybe the UGA game wasn't such a fluke and the SC game was. I hope!
Yes. Surprise! We need another half to see if we have a football team. I liked the look in the first half. I wish Stoops was more of a man to take a chance, not on offense but defense too.
They’ve been grabbing and holding Key every play. Proud out the team for keeping Ole Miss in check. Need another good long drive to start the second half. They’re defense will be gassed.
OM was even holding on Key when he caught the TD pass.
I think this team is playing their butts off and all of the whining and crying about coaching is uncalled for.
Really good first half for the most part. We need to keep finishing drives with touchdowns though, because the downside to playing like this is how thin the margin for error is. We couldn’t have drawn up a much better half, and it only resulted in a 3 point lead.
They are testing the refs to see if they will continue throwing flags. My concern is that they won't.
If we come out in a prevent zone defense with 3 rushing the qb, I'm going to head down to Oxford......
