We've tried to keep you focused on what's next and right now everybody knows it's OL Tyreek Jemison and QB Matt Ponatoski who are on the clock.
Kentucky has added some needed star power to its class recently and I think a couple of four-star commitments to go along with that would make everyone feel at least pretty good about the class. I do think it was inevitable that they would get some commitments and generate some momentum. I'm a firm believer that, right now, it's going to be very hard to judge a HS class. This many years into the Stoops era, you have to say that we just don't know how the class is going to pan out. But I'm a big fan of the guys they have added recently just on the basis of measurables, what they're looking for, and who they're beating out.
** 4-star OL Tyreek Jemison is planning to make a decision tomorrow. He's very high on Kentucky coming off his official just like he was coming off his unofficial. Coaches really blew him away on the visit and he said they did a great job of making him feel like their No. 1 priority for that spot.
If you put Jemison alongside Miller, that's a pretty strong start to the offensive line class even minus Strickland. Of course you're hoping that get Jack Fuchs and/or Da'Ron Parks in as well but I do like both Miller and Jemison as SEC-caliber prospects to develop at their respective positions, I'd guess RT for Miller and OG for Jemison but that's not fixed. It would also be a really impressive recruiting pull given you're going against Georgia Tech which is local and getting some quality guys, Belichick at UNC, etc.
** Matt Ponatoski seems like a great bet to end up with the Cats after Oregon got its quarterback. That's the angle most have looked at it from and I think that's right on the money. Of course, with baseball being big for him that's always something you're going to have to think about but of the four finalists, Kentucky is in the best shape simply by process of elimination and based on everything we've heard.
