I know that's the thought process behind it but I don't like it. Run offense and let touches come naturally. Otherwise you get what we often get which is a lost down or turnover. Wrs will get touches and even if they don't - it's a team sport.
Yup, our defense came to play today. Luckily for us, looks like the offense might have too. Would love to see a complete game from these guys, would be a perfect time with UF coming up.
He will be excited. He shouldn't have to use any TO's all game. He will be able to trade for the big prizes at half and end of regulation. lol

I'm done posting for a while. The wings arrived. Way better result than I was expecting based on the first 3 games.

Gotta bring the balance. Celebrate what looks to be a good solid win, but remind ourselves we've got a real game next week.
UF is playing the mighty Charlotte today, so, they aren't going to have much of a game.

Anybody think it’s stupid to be interviewing coaches during the dadgum game? I bet those coaches loathe having to do that. I’m sure Clark Lea thinks he has more important things to do than chat it up with a sideline reporter.

That 2nd down play is exactly why you shouldn't hunt touches for a player. Brown whiffs on a block that got Davis rocked, costing us a first down and almost the ball.
I mentioned last year at times brown isn't the best teammate. Didn't run hard routes when he knew he wasn't getting the ball. Not engaged in blocking.
OL missed on the blocking assignment. Double teamed the DT and no one blocked the safety.....

If you have to force feed/coddle someone that doesn't want to block, then just let them go. Yes I know he has incredible big play potential but he misses on so many other effort aspects of the game.
Plus you have other guys not getting touches, so you risk losing them too.
