It's crazy that you could have inserted Cal's name for Stoops, and it still would have fit perfectly.

This is really starting to get under my skin how we just keep doing this with no adjustments. Not giving up big plays is all well and good, but the thing is, competent offenses don’t need big plays to score if you’re going to give them a free 5-10 yards on every single play. It baffles me that our multimillion dollar coaching staff can’t seem to figure this out.

I’ve been a fan of stoops but on top of the poor defensive scheme we run, his insistence to control the clock and shorten the game ties the hands of the offense and kills momentum and when you have a year like we are having that features boneheaded penalties and dropped passes, it then forces your team to play perfect with little to zero margin of error and that’s just not feasible in this conference.

Would Coen REALLY come back here, if he didn't have pretty much a total green light with the offensive play-calling ?? When I watch Stoops on the sideline, he has a headset on, but I never see him talking into it. Pretty much, the only time I see his lips moving is when he's bitching at the officials. That's what I've always seen from him.
