Honestly the biggest takeaway I have from this is just we need to get healthy and need a full team LOL.

Credit to Wagner for stepping up late and playing good defense, this team isn’t nearly as good yet as we all thought they were after Kansas, a long way to go but atleast they won
A win is a win is a win. Mitchell was huge hitting some threes on the pick and pop. Wagner made some timely shots and his free throws in OT.
I've seen enough of inept, injured and ineffective guard and wing play over the last 5 years.. that i really don't care about defense right now. Basketball has transitioned to favor offense more and more, that's what wins.
Get the offense going. Play Shep. Better sets. Better shot selection. Not that we aren't doing these things well.. just that these are more important than a SG who let's a few drives go by him.

Maybe beat a time or two but definitely wasn't getting torched. Much better communication instead of just not calling the switch.

It seems that everyone so desperately wants something good to say about Wagner that they are making up crap. There is no way that Wagner should have been taking those shots. Yes, he goes downhill with a full head of steam, but more often than not, it doesn't end well.

That's not true at all. He made a bad decision at end of regulation. That's the worst thing he did.
I think it will make a world of a difference when size is down in the paint. Rebounding and when they think they can attack the basket. Easy to play loose offense when the other team has no defensive presence in the paint.

He had one three made in his face after a good challenge, and got lost on another. Both happened in about a 5 min stretch when St Joes was cooking. That’s the single reason everyone is saying he was ”torched”.
He might become the best perimeter shooting 4 - but he’s far from being the best overall. Hell, Thiero has a much better chance play in the league than Tre. So you’d better believe there are 4’s across the country who are better than Tre. He’s a one trick pony. And it’s really good that he hit the open shots in OT. He was 2/8 prior to that.
I like Mitchell, but his defense and rebounding is not great, nor are his post moves. And if he’s not hitting - like he wasn’t in regulation - he’s a liability.
