Official McD All American Basketball Game

The bad news is none of our recruits looks really that special. The Good news, no one really looks that special. So either they are all marginal or these type of games are meaningless.

Vanderbilt has barely played any organized basketball since Summer due to injury. No surprise he's sloppy.

Damn, i wish they would mix up the line-up. Don't like that Quade didn't get to play with Bamba.

for a while i didnt think losing briscoe would be a huge deal. if we are going to be good next year he really needs to come back.

Our committed guys are ranked 10 - 25 for a reason. They're not immediate collegiate All American candidates. They can still be good next season, but aren't on the level of Fox and Monk. If this is the end of our class, it's going to be a rebuilding yea. But, like others have said, they're a fantastic nucleus for two years.

Bamba is that difference maker we need.

Green has had a lot of good looks get deflected, I think he just isn't used to the defensive athleticism at every potlsition you get in a game like this. I think he and the class will be fine. My expectations are in check, but I'll still be surprised if we aren't #1 in the SEC

Pretty underwhelming, this class as a whole is not so impressive. Not our kids, all of them.....Porter would be barely top 10 this year....

I understand just an all star game. But this class looks pretty ordinary. I like Porter, Bamba could be special. Beyond that who knows? The UK kid I'm most sure of is Washington. Vanderbilt I understand is coming off injury? I hope so cause he is struggling. Not sure an all star game is a good showcase for Greens skills. If we're losing Fox, Monk, Bam, Gabriel, Briscoe we need Bamba and the kid from Illinois.

People raved about Vanderbilt all week in the practices, which are more competitive/important than the games. He'll be good.

shotty performances aside, i think i'm just bummed that JV and JP are 6'6" rather that legit 6'8". was hoping for a bigger team

That's because they are going to UK

I have seen alll these kids play at least 5-10 times and they all impress me . None more so then Vandervbilt and PJ though. Together that is a hell of a front court with one of our 3 great centers ( Bamaba/Richards/HUmp).

Wow!! I like Quade Green!!! He is playing Def!! Reminds me a lot of a tad taller Tyler Ulis. Feeds Richards for a dunk!!! Then steals in bounds pass and drains a three!

Even before the scrimmage and this game I said it will be a bumpy year....neither game has changed my mind. Hopefully Hump, SKJ and Wenyen make a big jump and Bam/Briscoe comes back

[eyeroll]If you are basing anything on seeing these guys for the first time in this mess of a game you are completely being sold a bill of goods. Our class , if you include Bamba which I do , might be our 2nd best class ever. PJ is an amaZing player who can do it all . We have 2 centers who will be one and done and top 15 picks in Bamba and Richards , we have a true SF who is a ball handling and passing whiz in JV and an eilte pg who can score just as much as set others up. ANd Daillo - the kid who will be our leading scorer next season . Alexander is another real talent in the Andrew Harrison mold. They all have weakensses but if we bring back Hump and either SKJ or Tai and then Gabriel ( or replace him with Knox) and then find one more shooter this team will make as much noise if not more then the past season.
