if murray played for duke, he would have 10+ FTs a game easy. kid gets fouled every time he goes into the lane and almost never gets a call
No, we don't "suck", we're 7-1 and have defeated Duke on a neutral floor. We're a very young team, and Cal and his staff will have this team peaking in March.
EVERY team has issues, and ours is fixable.
Watching the jalftime report: Amazing how Greenberg just gets it. and that dumbass Williams just doesn't..
Positives - Balanced scoring (9 have scored), rebounding (23-10), 3FG defense (1-8).
Negatives - Turnovers (10, but I think we had more), 3FG shooting (2-9).

Make no mistake, this is not a good game so far for UK.

Skal leaves his feet on shot fakes because he is super inexperienced. We are "only" winning by 14? EKU is a decent team. They are quick and athletic. We are likely to win by 30. This looks like "AAU ball"? If we are running dribble drive, then yeah...it's gonna look like that. He seems way too angry for someone who is supposed to be objective.

I think UK had played good game, they should be up 23-25 points. We missed too many open threes, and we screwed up on defense. However, just because we guard well doesn't mean they won't score.

Maybe because that didn't happen. He got scored on ONCE, and that was a jumper from the FT line with Hawkins's hand in his face.

Jay Williams thinks now that Kornet is our, TAM will win the SEC.. Effectively saying that UK is the 3rd best team.. Lmfao. Ok man..

I said it in another thread but fans that don't understand the game will be excited and encouraged with beating down EKU while scoring 98% of our points in the paint. They won't understand that this simply won't be done against bigger and more athletic teams that will pack their defense in the lane and dare us to make a shot from the perimeter. Dunks and lobs and drop step dunks etc etc mean absolutely nothing to me against the Eastern's of the world. We need to make perimeter shots…..period. Right now we can't. If we come out and make perimeter shots in the second half then I will be happy and encouraged. Right now I see a one-dimensional team.
You know you suck as an official when both announcers call you out for incompetence. They usually shill for the refs as much as they can.

Neither the 2012 nor the 2015 team should expect to beat this EKU team by 70. They are a D1 basketball team, not some D3 scrub we play just as a favor due to an obscure relationship between the programs.
Anyway, decent overall half. I'd love to see us lock'em down and get this to a 30+ final margin.

Wow, you are patronizing. "Most fans won't understand this..."
I'm pretty sure that most fans realize it. Many of us also realize that the samples preparing this year indicate we have 2-3 good 3-point shooters. That means we we are likely to improve that percentage as the year goes on and the sample size increases. And since most fans understand that, they choose not to panic about something that isn't a problem yet.
