UK should set Murray up for 6-8 three's a game and Ulis for 4-5. No one else should shoot ever, except maybe Willis when he is in. I want to see our two good shooters get up more looks. Murray did last game and 5/11 from three.

Would actually also like to see Matthews shoot a three every now and then when he's open. He's not known for being a great shooter, but I think he could develop into a decent one like Liggins.

Simply won't be able to get to the rim and score everything in the paint against bigger and more athletic teams. This team has to prove they can make an outside shot. Overpowering this opponent and forcing our way to the rim tonight will not make us any better. Only further demonstrates the best way to beat us……clog up the lane and dare us to make shots.

Our D is on pace to give up 80 to EKU...no improvement from the UCLA game on D so far. Disappointing.

Yeah, 3/4 looks are from Murray/Ulis so far and no dice. I dont get it. Ulis shot well last year, and Murray can fill it up. Other than the NJIT game that has really skewed his 3 point stats down, he is like 42% from 3 in the other 7 games coming in to tonight.

ulis too right? he was supposed to be one of the best PGs in UK history. dribbles a lot, cant get to the rim. sub 30% three point shooter.

We aren't good at shooting 3's because Cal doesn't value it as much as other coaches. That philosophy extends to who we recruit and how we practice.

I think for him to really show what he's got, he needs to be in a lineup where he is the PG, or maybe a SG, where the PG is not as good as Ulis. If that makes any sense. I just think with 3 guards that we have, he's really struggling to find his role, even though he is the leading scorer.
