No joke. Skal may be back next year

He's just not ready. He's soft and weak. If he'd come back for his sophomore year and be older and stronger he could be the best player in the nation. We know the talent's there. And as of now I think he'd be returning. We need a 3pt shooter coming off the bench too. Best case scenario is we get Alkins.

Fox
Monk
Gabriel
Bam
Skal

Alkins
Mathews
SKJ
Humphries
Wynyard
Willis
Hawkins

I don't see a team like that getting abused by anyone next year like we just did today. Bam's big strong and rough like I've been preaching to everyone that we need. Ain't nobody gonna take a rebound from him or block his shot while he falls to the ground.

I take it you know absolutely nothing about Skal's guardian.

That's cool, but you shouldn't be starting threads making definitive statements if you are not informed on the subject.

There is absolutely zero chance that Skal's guardian allows him to play for free beyond April.

I think that jokes on us, and yes he will be back unless the 76ers gm goes out in a blaze of glory

I feel much, much better now. Good luck to Skal and I hope I'm not being premature.

The only chance Skal has of not playing for free is if his guardian decides to pay him. With that said, I do think Skal should transfer because Cal isn't going to allow him to play in a way that best reflects the way he will be used in the NBA. Skal will never play with his back to the basket in the NBA so there is no reason for Cal to play him that way if Cal's system is truly a player's first system.

Again, this is all assuming there's a good draft pick for him. Have you watched him play?

I know an awful lot about Hamilton, but he can't force a team to take him.

This. Either he signs with a team that thinks they can fix him, and sends him immediately to the D - league, runs to Europe or transfers to a small shall we say, 'less ethical' school. There is nothing for him at UK. However, 70K a year playing in Greece can feed and house a family of twenty in Haiti. He is just too timid for the NBA.

It's not like Skal is a young Freshman. He will be 20 in the Spring and his weaknesses and basketball IQ keep getting exposed.

Say what you wanna say, but unless we see dramatic improvement I think he comes back. I mean its not like it hasn't before. The twins were expected to both go in the first round before they went to college. They stayed 2 years. Cliff Alexander anyone??? Kasey Hill? Chris Walker? I mean Skal with his talent and potential would still probably go in the 1st round if not top 10 still. But the thing is he'd be in the D-League developing when it would benefit him WAY more to come back to UK and develop. Skal as a Soph. would be a different animal. He would be older, bigger, and stronger and wouldn't be so timid and soft. He would have a totally different body and mindset IMO. He'll listen to Cal over his dumb guardian if he knows what's best.

Nothing he has shown so far even indicates he would be a two and done. Seems to have three years like WCS or Dieng from UL written all over him.

Skal is still in the Top 5 of most NBA Mock Drafts and he will continue to play and will probably still end up as a top 5 or top 10 pick next year. We as fans know he should stay next year at Kentucky but look back over the last 3 or 4 years and we have always mentioned 2 or 3 players that should stay there sophmore year but if they are 1st round picks in the NBA Draft they are guaranteed gone at Kentucky!

I know nothing so I'll ask those that seem to believe they have knowledge. If Skal continues to play as he has these last few games, averaging pretty low numbers scoring and rebounding, you still believe he'll be drafted in the lottery, or at all?

May hell, I don't see how in the world anyone would wanna touch him with a pick in the NBA draft the way he's currently playing. If he get's drafted I am officially putting my name into the 2017 NBA Draft.
