So there theoretically is a limited amount of NIL dollars to spend. So say 30 - 40 players get a cut. The rest are just on scholarship.

How is there NOT a division in the locker room? Wouldn’t it be better to set up a system where there is a minimum that all players get and a maximum that a team can pay out and then the rest would strictly be each player negotiating a contract with outside companies that have to include performance criteria with an end of year review process? I know it will never happen but isn’t that what most of us have to do?

It is bound to cause problems in the locker room. There is circumstantial evidence all over the place that it has been causing problems at almost every Power 4 school.

There’s no division because the vast majority of student athletes are fully capable of handling the situation.

The types of athletes that would get upset about NIL differences are the same types that were getting upset about things like playing time before NIL existed. Some people are just jealous by nature and will find something to be upset about.

But if you go ask student athletes about NIL differences among teammates, almost all of them will tell you that they have no issues with it. There simply has not been widespread division in locker rooms due to NIL.

No he doesn't. Baseball and other non-rev sports have always had less scholarships than players. My first year of tennis I had a 25% scholarship(out of like 4 for the entire team of about 10-12) and there were guys that played and had none. The baseball team only had 11 scholarships with a roster of nearly 30. Never saw any conflict about this, though it wasn't uncommon for us to yell at Coach Emery that we deserved a bigger scholarship after a big win.

How many teams have you interviewed to come up with this conclusion? 50? 10? None?

In most schools in the sec FB gets 80% of nil and bball gets 10% with other sports getting the rest. It's probably reversed for UK.
