Next up for Arkansas ?

You are treating Cal like one of your girlfriends that broke your heart. You just can't turn loose of her. Cal left, saved UK a ton of money. Sorry he broke yor hear and you just can't get him out of your mind. It must be tough to go through life gilted by a dame basketball coach.
Lol. Umm, no. Cal didn't break my heart. I was overjoyed when he left! Sports is a hobby for me and it's all about entertainment. I'm thoroughly entertained by watching him crash and burn at Arkansas, especially when so many people, including our own fans, said we would be crazy to let him go and that we would never replace him. Seems to me you have some kind of weird issue not being able to separate a hobby from real life situations, and also some need to control what other people discuss. Probably should talk to a professional about why that is, cause it's not normal bud.

Why do we care so much about the worst team in the conference. I wonder how many YEARS must pass before constant dialogue with Cal fades. We ought to rename this site Cals rafters.

We care because it’s vindication
The majority of BBN wanted Calipari gone and all we heard was how detrimental it would be for us and wherever he went he’d be successful. Because he’s a HOF coach and certain media were (and really still are) way up his ass. And because a Calipari himself thought he was bigger than UK basketball..and treated the program and the fans with disdain.
So yeah..we’re going to talk about it as we watch Calipari implode and we’re going to be vindicated

I understand some think there may be too many threads re: Cal/Ark, but as other have pointed out...this is still the middle of the first season after he left, so that combined with the reason @Bkocats and others have mentioned above, it is more than reasonable to be discussing it at this point.

Now if this is still happening 2-3 years from now (which I will be very surprised if it is - maybe a rare, random thread but not like now), then your question makes more sense. But at this point, we are still in the "how many MONTHS are we going to discuss it" b/c it hasn't even been a year yet.

To further this point, I think many of us felt completely hopeless in the last few years because we KNEW Cal had us over a barrel and there was no way out. UK would have never lived it down if they'd have paid him $28M (or more?) to walk away. So we were stuck in a failed marriage and had no hope for an exit. Meanwhile he continued to troll the fans that had once adored him.

The fact that he accidentally tore a giant hole in his own golden parachute makes me giggle still to this day.

That’s a sure fire knee slapper
