NIT schedule interferes with Little House re-runs. They'll politely decline the invite.
That was something he found hard to do the last few seasons.

Idk if they will win enough to qualify. They would need to go 16 and 15 (does 16 and 16 with first round sec tourney loss qualify?) N regular season. That is only 5 sec wins but the way they look that will be a challenge.

Personally, I no longer have that feeling of Pope "has to win" the Ark. game. I did kind of feel that way in the beginning too. But now, after beating so many top ranked teams and the excitement and way the season has gone, it just doesn't feel as important to me. Don't get me wrong, however. I still desperately want UK to win that damn game. But I just think Pope is beyond that now (no serious question at this point that UK is so much better off with Pope), and we as a fan base might be getting there too.
I've never seen that stradegy used against a cal coached team.
Hopefully, Pope has at least 2 different zone looks up his sleeve... trying to overcome 1 zone pretty much overwhelming to Cal. If the Cats threw 2 at him,
You can't fix stupid! My bet is, you never darkened a classroom door at UK. If you did, you would have more logical sense.
Cal has become somewhat lazy as a coach but used to show the ability to rise up and coach when backed into a corner, so yes, it's a concern.
If John Robic came back and was Calipari's assistant for this game, then yeah I would be very nervous to. But John Robic ain't walking through that door. Calipari will be like a deer in the headlights during this game.
You're on crack. "Setting up for....?" How? WHAT on Earth have seen seen in Arkansas' 17 games, riding a 4 game SEC losing streak that makes you scared? Think he'll out X and O Pope? Think Johnelle Davis is going to revert back to his FAU days? Dajuan Wagner is going to find his shot back in Rupp?

Do some of you all worrywarts not think that Pope has had this game circled as well? That hes not going to be prepared for this game probably more than most? I like my team and trust my coach so Arkansas and certainly not Cal dont have me worried in the slightest.
The body language of the coaches and players on the bench is TERRIBLE.

It's only natural for fans to compare and contrast what's happening to the guy who coached here 15 years a year after he left. It's not something you just forget about in less than a year. especially when we have someone leading us who is a stark contrast to Cal. If you can't find the fun in watching their demise and our ability to tell Arkansas fans "we told you so", then I don't know what to tell you. Yes it's a UK forum, but it's also a basketball forum, we discuss UofL and all other SEC teams on here, we follow former players too. Are we supposed to no longer bring up past players either?
Yep. They'll dribble the shot clock out on the perimeter and Biggie or Wagner will jack up a bad shot.
My only worry is that Arkansas has a few players who might have a big chip on their shoulder when they come into Rupp. Not that we won't still beat them, but the game could get chippy. As for Pope. I think he solidly has the Fan base behind him at this point as well, but his real test is going to come in March when the SEC and NCAA tourney rolls around. Early flameouts in those could turn the fan base in a heartbeat.
I fully expect our guys to be super locked in for that one, they know the pulse of the fans about this game and administration. Coach will make sure every detail about them will be covered like he has all season long. Iāll be shocked if itās not a 25+ victory.

Cal will grind our game down to a screeching crawl. It will be the rock fight to end all rock fights.
That is his only hope for winning against us and he knows it. Get ready for a ground and pound game playing through Adoo and Thiero with a lot of DJ and Boogie drives to the basket and throwing prayers up for the big guys to rebound, or hopefully get a lot of free throws.

We all know over the years Cal always had a couple road games where no one expected us to win and we went in and dominated. Iām not gonna go down the list of games. Any ky fan will remember

Lol. No one will believe Arkansas can hold a candle to what Kentucky is this year. Not even the most hardened Pat Forde types would be dumb enough to believe that.
Worst thing that could happen as far as the national consciousness is concerned is Cal does win some kind of weird cathartic revenge sex going down with the ship moral victory, but everybody knows he still sucks, no one believes heās ābackā except for the most gullible of the gullible among Arkansas fans. The rest of us just say, ādamn, that was weird,ā shrug, and move on towards our 2 / 3 seed.

I'm definitely with you on being worried about that game, mostly for the same Ark. motivational factors you said. But I think this fanbase has more fans than most that understand what they're watching, etc. (even if we go nuts and say all kinds of stuff during the game and/or immediately thereafter), instead of just it's "bad coaching" anytime UK loses and "great coaching" anytime UK wins.
